  1. Omd, DYE ESKY! She would look fantastic!
  2. You guys may be on to something with the red dogs. My red dogs are much smarter than my poor tri boy. He has a few red bits but obviously not enough
  3. I can't help it Tiggy, I grew up next door to an eagles player so I've been brainwashed
  4. Looks really good RS! Did you just use a free online pattern? I roughly followed this one to make a raincoat for Daina.
  5. What's the CM on his belt for? Conservation Man? He looks pretty cool
  6. He is soooo gorgeous Methinks he is not going anywhere
  7. Comfortis and heartgard plus here. Comfortis is way better than any other flea product I have used.
  8. So cute! I saw a bernese yesterday while out driving it reminded me to come here and see cute puppy pictures. Does Moose have freckles on his muzzle like Zephyr?
  9. Muddy is pretty bad. He becomes a shaking mess if it's really loud. I sit next to him without saying anything and it seems to help, just me being up close to him. Sometimes to stop the shaking I will put my arms around his chest and apply a tiny bit of pressure, like a slightly tighter bear hug. The pressure calms him down and stops him shaking. By that point I'm usually talking to him in a nice calm voice.
  10. Oh Cassie, Moose is just so handsome! There's a local berner around here and he is such a cool guy.
  11. Sarge is also a blinker Muddy likes to do a weird lip-folding thing
  12. Poor boy but I wonder how they are going to make sure they find the right dog? There are lots of dogs that could be classed as "caramel coloured" and any witnesses are probably non-dog-savvy members of the public so any "caramel" coloured dog of the rough size could be caught up in this.
  13. OMD! I have just come across an online ad for "Pomsky - pomeranian X husky pups"
  14. I bought some lanolin today, smells lovely, like shea butter. Only needs a tiny bit and he wasn't the least bit interested in licking it (and this is a dog who likes to lick things off himself). Should keep his skin nice and supple and callus free :D
  15. Can't help because I find it hard to choose between the two myself Definitely have a chat to Aziah to answer your corgi Qs. Have you got any requirements? For example grooming wise, a pembroke corgi requires more grooming than a vall and they shed a bit more.
  16. It's obviously a sign! Thanks guys I will look in to it
  17. Hmm, yes I was thinking paw paw or something similar might be good. Don't think there's any way to stop him lying on the floors. When it gets cold enough he will start snuggling into a bed/on my bed and it should give the hair a chance to come back. If only I could make him wear elbow pads He'd have them off in a second.
  18. You can have my feral 3yr old if you want. She has been running around like a mad thing all day long and the boys keep joining in in bursts too. Not good when you are trying to study If I include breeds I love but won't own, the list would never end but restricting it to breeds that I may own at some point: Another Swedish Vallhund Cardigan Corgi Standard Poodle Leonberger Rottweiler Tibetan Spaniel Shih Tzu Greyhound Staffordshire Bull Terrier And probably a few pound mixes along the way I just can't seem to tear myself away from Pembrokes though When the opportunity for another addition to the family comes along there's part of me wanting a new breed but then another part that says "You could be passing on the opportunity to own another fabulous pembroke". Stick with the tried and tested or go for something different?! Decisions, decisions. Next dog is going to be another pembroke ETA: I have recently been researching the Pekingese and they seem to be clowns covered in fluff. I am yet to meet one in person but they could be on the list too.
  19. Despite having many comfy beds to lie on, Sarge prefers to sleep on the floorboards with his head on a pillow. As a result he is rubbing away the fur on his elbows/ankles from the friction and pressure of being on the hard floor. His front legs each have a little bald patch where there was once fur and the skin looks dry there but nowhere else on his body. The back legs haven't lost lots of hair yet, just thinned out and sort of parted like I've taken a comb to it. Any ideas how I can prevent further hair loss and help the hair regrow? I don't want him getting the rough callus that some dogs get.
  20. So cute. Is this one of Vicsta's pups? Very kind of you to look after her
  21. Hey ptolomy I am a murdoch student and I think I saw you leaving this morning. Was Scoota riding in the ffont passenger seat? If so, he looks like a beautiful boy.
  22. http://www.petswarehouse.com.au http://www.cleanrun.com/index.cfm but only the free shipping section because I am a tight arse
  23. French Bulldog with floppy ears? So, so, so cute!
  24. I got a crate so that if any of the dogs ever need to be confined due to injury or surgery recovery etc then they won't freak out about being in the crate. I am hoping to get a show pup in the future so I figured I'd need a crate then anyway so nabbed one when it was on sale on catch of the day. All my dogs have just taken to it straight away. I set it up and then just pat the inside mat to encourage them and the dogs all hoped in one at a time and then I'd put their toys in there and they just accepted it. It is currently used as another bed in my room. My 11yr old foster dog absolutely loves it too. I have no idea if she was crate trained in her other home but she just adores it and I find her in it all the time. I never have the door shut on it.
  25. I have only met two purebred Malteses and they are owned by a very dog savvy family that own a pet supply store. Lovely dogs, when they got the second it was a wee puppy running around the store and just SO cute. A ball of fluff that licks you :D
