  1. Yoiks! What I would do : (which is only my personal choice) NO stuffed anything- toys or beds. if they sleep outdoors- shredded paper , or opshop blankets . NO collar left on A couple of clam shells - one with water, and one with sand ... to dig/play in. Rotate toys - just leave a few out each couple of days .... Bring her - or both indoors under strict supervision - and start CRATE TRAINING :) or have her on a leash (chain , so it cannot be chewed) This will help teach her to be calm and enjoy your company . :)
  2. these snakes weren't far from teh house .... we haven't seen many at all this Summer , luckily. :) ..and luckily, too , we haven't lost a dog . We've lost 2 in the past 3 years ....
  3. It's a bit grating .. but becoming more common , and so slightly less grating ....
  4. smaller ones like Coke buddies are excellent , and the wider mouthed 600-700 ml energy drink ones; these can have fruit chunks /and hard boiled egg halves in as well ;) - I don't like the bigger ,more cylindrical ones , for your reason
  5. .most of our adult dogs just need to be shown how the bikkkies come out the mouth of the bottle, a couple of times and they're right :)
  6. I like 'em because they make noise, and the food can be seen rolling around .. Sound like she does need some extra encouragement though :)
  7. Oh :) Thanks for explaining ..I am SO glad that the lump is responding!! It must make you feel so much better ,too.
  8. My rule of thumb is that if my dog is no longer independent in feeding/walking/toileting comfortably , the she/he is not really enjoying life , and deserves peace. Thinking of you and your gorgeous Zoe .
  9. Sammyelle - I am so sorry . take care - you did everything you could for her ..
  10. poor dogs - they experience their world so differently to us - and we often just do not realise how different until they react with fear to stuff we don't, or cannot notice .
  11. Agree with this . We will never pass one on either ...dogs are not happy living like that .
  12. it is hard but need to do the right thing by him and only hope that sending him back is the right thing for him. I also need to do the right thing for my other dog ..and you , the family, and friends . having a dog with any form of aggression is stressful and dangerous. IF this dog was bought with such behaviour entrenched - the seller should be told of all problems . I guess there's a story behind why he was sold ....and I do hope that things work out,
  13. Why do you have to wait until Monday if it is causing him pain/irritation? poor boy ... no fun for you, either.
  14. Our old girl Sophie has killed two metre long browns over the past 3 weeks -
  15. What a worry ... I hope the behaviourist will give you a realistic assessment and help you make a decision. Rock :Hard place sorry
  16. it does sound as if there is a problem with his mouth/throat . You said his jaw wasn't even ... and this also makes me think there could be another problem back further - something else not put together properly ? Ultrasound? Xray?
  17. can you weigh him before and after a feed? he may be sucking, but not getting a full belly?
  18. kirislin ... Kibah had the best of humans looking out for her ..... I am thinking of you this morning as you give her to the earth .
  19. :) :) I know that feeling - just awful! *says she who bought one of those rechargeable portable power pack thingies for when the iPhone gets worn out doing photo stuff ;) *
