  1. for the gorgeous Riddick !! I hope you go to the vets , so the injuries are on record ..that's important. Sorry the guy has not been reported before ..but hopefully now he will me made to answer for his mistakes.
  2. ..things like helping to choose the best matched parents to produce pups who have the best of both genetic pools. to try to breed responsibly ..by breeding from family lines which do not carry serious genetic faults , or other body/temperament problems . By always seeking to correct faults .. Breeding responsibly entails much study of the chosen breed, and its genetics. It involves health testing of any dogs used to breed with .. and then possibly NOT being able to breed with the dogs you thought were very good examples of the breed it entails waiting for the best chance of producing healthy happy puppies , who will pass on their soundness to future generations :) I'm sure others will explain it better .
  3. Bee Hunting is great fun ... just remember - def. no insect repellant :p.
  4. I also think sdead/faded blooms have interest... this is/was a 'blackboy' Olympic Gold

  6. I don't often take my dslr for a run ... as 95 % of the time we just do not agree. Occasionally tho, we do :) (even tho it looks fuzzy here )
  7. What about the cough? Is she clear for heartworm and other nasties ? poor old girl.
  8. and that , IMO, is fine..as you were with him..his 'constant' :) I read this situation as one person was to have dog for x days ..and the other for y days . This means two 'owners' and two houses, and two sorts of training , etc ......
  9. petit mal = 'little sickness/bad' grand mal = big sickness/bad 'scuse my poor french. So..a grand mal seizure may involve total loss of bowel control, much muscle spasming , etc .. a petit mal is shorter and with less physical sign /effort I think
  10. could be ..no muscle tone/sphincter control... It still needs checking, and fixing if possible - I wouldn't think they would be ideal for re-homing with continuing incontinence/frequency issues? Hope all goes well today! :)
  11. wow ! :) some great shots - those little star flowers are very pretty !! I have some new ones one my FLICKR page ..non dog :p
  12. depends on what the cause is .... the constant diarrhoea IS a problem, isn't it? It certainly is not normal ....hope it eases off very soon.
  13. there are plenty of other causes of diarrhoea ......
  14. I've never seen it as being a normal thing, no...and I have seen many in season bitches. It 'may' be something hormonal..but certainly sounds odd. The vet said 'keep an eye on her'...and what else? I would suggest another vet visit .... before starting to muck around with diet etc .It would be good to know exactly what the cause is , wouldn't it?
  15. Of course they are ! :) :) They are doing so well ..congratulations on your training!
  16. poor dog has possibly had a UTI for a week or more ................. I hope the vet visit is VERY soon.
  17. To be useful, and able to be accurately tested, the sample will need to be fresh ..from memory less than 24 hrs old .
  18. OK.... now all someone needs to do is make a D O L book out of these gorgeous memories !!!! :)
  19. Awwwww :) Kieran always did it very deferentially ..it was certainly not a "yes! Come with me now!" - it was almost as if he had finally found a way to breach the communication barrier, and was just SO pleased that he could do so :)
  20. She could have kennel cough, and a bladder infection, or it could be any one of a number of issues ..unfortunately a vet visit (with urine in hand) and maybe blood tests are about the the only way to find out
