1. Buster is very lucky that the thieves had a sense of humour, and left his toys in place of the TV instead of scaring/injuring him! :)
2. back in the old days .. (late '70s) when I was renting ...the not terribly proficient child raising neighbour and I put some barbed wire along the fence to stop his wild children going back & forth yes, it worked.
3. Can't help, except to link you HERE :) Best of luck with it.
4. Wow the difference that HDR makes ... I find that last image too contrasty and stark for me ... there's something about the edges of objects too that doesn't look quite right to my old eyes . :) I love how you are working at making things 'just right'. Kirislin
5. I also think that, from a rescue perspective, 'wotami' threads could be very useful ..perhaps a system like the breeders' thread ?
6. Forum rule #4 has this bit ... so maybe ask Troy what he will permit , and where? That way everyone knows ....
7. I agree with this . If these little dogs are happy and lead a good full life , then a reduction in bark volume is not going to impact on them at all :)
8. I like it..but I'd block the fence .. next thing they poke thru may be something not nice....
9. Yep :) Don't put one on him Honestly, if a young healthy dog has suitable bedding into which it can burrow/make a little nest/igloo, and is out of drafts , they should be warm enough. The best way to conserve body heat is to have a cocoon of bedding ... and a flat mattress with a couple of blankets just doesn't make the same shape... usually. :)if he's in a crate..then cover teh crate fully - esp near the floor where drafts get in ...maybe even give him newspaper ...lots ...that he can shred and nest in?
10.
same reason lots and lots of things are not available in that stupidmarket anymore, probably. ... Sorry, can't help sourcing any for you
11. I thought Council had to declare dog a nuisance before it can be legally debarked? well, that is what I understood from this, anyway.... Legalese
12. That sounds a good plan, pebbles.
13. Hi.... Debarking ..it is AFAIK only to be performed after all other methods fail, and the dog is at risk of being put to sleep because of teh barking which can not be stopped by training/management means. There are lots of things to consider ... Do you have any idea of why your dog barks? is there a time or place or situation? Does she bark when inside with you, or only outside? Does she bark on your daily walks/at the park? Does she bark when playing with other dogs? What training things have you tried ...we may be able to help before you battle bureaucracy ...here is a link to explain it a bit more http://www.dpi.vic.gov.au/agriculture/about-agriculture/legislation-regulation/animal-welfare-legislation/codes-of-practice-animal-welfare/debarking-of-dogs
14. yep bunnings/mitre 10 ..or even better, if there is a remnant little old hardware store anywhere... they may help you do it :)
15. That's a good idea! may I just tell you what I noticed while watching? The swivel circle often ended with a hind foot on the junction of pavers/grass..and there was a bit of twisting/loss of balance ...any joint weakness might be exacerbated... I was getting anxious that someone would slip or let go accidentally and crack something on the hard paving A spring and swivel clip would certainly add some more interest ...and give them even more fun! Well Done :D
16. That last one looks fine in my eyes :) That poor boy knows not how many females have been eyeing him for hours .... :p It is a terrific capture!!
17. R I P henry .. you loved him ..and that's what counts.
18. Oops..I think I was typing as you posted, Clyde ..good point, I guess
