How's it going? -
aahh .. I know that feeling . Hope all goes well with your girl :) When Hamlet was much younger he cleaned up some broken eggs outside, and hoovered sticks & leaves as well quick trip to the vet next day .. lots of barium balls... some surgery, a few days in hospital, a new best friend called "muzzle", and an uneventful recovery :) his wasn't actually in the stomach ..and hadn't caused and damage to the intestine, so surgery was fairly simple .He was cut from A to B though- no keyhole !! They wouldn't send him home until he was eating (canned stuff) and toileting ok .. and then he was on wet food with a small amount of psyllium husk for a while . He wore a muzzle pretty well continuously for about 12 months - I was petrified it would happen again..and he is SUCH a hoover (not a chewer) he still has muzzle on when we are somewhere there might be junk to pick up.... The soft basket muzzles which allow full mouth opening/drinking are best, and although I wouldn't leave one on unsupervised, he used to wear his at night for a while after surgery to stop licking etc (instead of a cone)..and he wasn't allowewd out of bed without putting his muzzle on at a later date .

if you're just in SA .. IMO it is not cold enough at present to need a hot water bottle .. he is possible too warm .(also hot water bottles, if chewed, can burn a pup.. and /or make a BIG mess , also are dangerous if pup swallows bits ;) Pups & soft crates are not a really good mix ..as they can chew out of them , or scratch them to death also, be careful what you feed as treats .. too many fatty things like cheese spread/peanut butter may make them a bit upset in the tummy ....
-
If it is the same spots all the time, and she's chewing .... it could be some minor pain happening in joints . It could def. be mozzies, but they usually can only bite on bare skin, or sparsely furred skin... yes, we do need photos :)

:) :) Well done . ..a symphony in pinks !

Well caught!! They are difficult to catch ..and you got some good detail :)

Kirislin .. ermmm I use mine on the canon 28 -80 lens. They screw into the end , and are MUCH easier to use than extension tubes , and I think I only paid around $25 .00 to buy online . I found THIS SET of pics on flickr , using the +10 (macro) filter/magnifier that I used . Some of them are pretty darn impressive! :)
-
..and .by the way , we do need more shots of this gorgeous girl ;)

Reggie is very handsome :)

Dear little girl... I would give her the human low fat stuff - turkey ham, lean mince, low fat cottage cheese, chocolate custard , roast chicken - no skin .... plain sponge cake .. or UNIBIC sponge fingers .. (a dryish biscuit with egg and little fat) Eating human food/treats is the least of her worries now ... so ,as long as it's low/no fat .. try it!
-
Thanks :) yes, I dragged the Canon out ( I really don't use it as much as I should - prefer the point & shoots) and put the 'magnifying glass' on ..;)

I seem to remember reading that the Op does not have 100% health? Forgive me if I'm wrong,M2S.
-
yep .. the 'novelty factor' is still much in play . I have outside dogs - have no problem with outside dogs - provided they are of a temperament to cope, have company, plenty of things to do, and enough physical and mental stimulation to have them settled and satisfied.

She is growing into such a pretty girl ! she will enjoy having a swim, I'm sure :)
