  1. Years ago when I had an itchy dog .. when I could, I would take him to (back then) one of those 'new fangled' holistic vets ... and he would get vit C injections - which did help.
  2. :) Thanks for sharing , folks ... nice photos, indeed !
  3. Telida whippets - in their F A Q it says testosterone levels are reduced by around 50% percent..
  4. That's what I understood as well .... :) I get much enjoyment from being around kids ..and have worked with them most of my working life :) I've done the nappies, the teething, the learning difficulties, the disturbed nights .. and also the honesty, the hugs, the new teeth , and the grasping of new ideas :) I also chose at 17 to not produce any of my own . Some folks I see who gaze at kids as some would gaze at a cockroach do have me wondering....
  5. Welcome :) I presume you mean testicles ... ;) Have you spoken with his breeder? They should be able to help you .. and if the dog was bought as a stud .. he can't be shown etc . Did you feel them both when you bought him ? Did you vet say anything then, when he had his 'new puppy' check?
  6. Photoshop needs to be bought ...but I think you can download it for a 30 day trial :) I have it and very rarely use it as I find it too confusing have a look here : There are free image editing programs which are good to start with though :) IMO Good crisp and detailed photos can not be made from photos which are of poor quality ..no matter what you use. The lens/exposure needs to capture the detail you need , first :) I use THIS a lot nowdays ..to crop/adjust brightness, etc. Hidden inside it are tools which can actually do some pretty useful stuff :)
  7. :) Thank you for the update!! Hope the floods pass you by safely.
  8. Sounds much like kennel cough... things which irritate his trachea will be collars (esp if he pulls) clod dry air, exertion... you can perhaps give him some benadryl cough syrup ..2/3 times a day ..probably a teaspoonful for a rottie size dog? ..ask the vet to be sure.
  9. I find this sad .... that you would mistrust a dog because it was either unwell, or keeping someone who is very unwell/fragile, company.I would also feel sad for a dog ,who for 10 years has been sleeping with the family to be suddenly excluded and locked in a laundry. Nelsona.. I hope the vet/Doctor can shed some light on what's happening .. just support your dog , make walks a wonderful time for you both , and I wish you all the best.
  10. I would love to see photos :) I like living vicariously :p
  11. LINK excerpt *wish i had an iphone so I could play with this :p *
  12. Yep..whatever dog breed, it is ,IMO, easier to prevent the start of a problem, than try and correct it later, once it's become a habit. ;)
  13. he eats most things ! Tonight's effort was for a few crumbs of home made potato wedges ;)
