you are going to be amazingly FIT ... ideally a baby puppy needs to be taken outside at least every hour ..more frequently if you don't stay outside long enough ,and he toilets when you get back inside ... I will suggest that immediately the pup comes home you watch him outside ..watch where he toilets , use a word that suits , and praise immediately. next time .. same place, same word , and so on. Eventually the word can be used to trigger the dog to toilet ..and makes everyone's life a lot easier ;)

any reason why the dog can not sleep inside ? Sounds as if all is peaceful when she does :) maybe get a babygate or pen, and allow her to sleep near`her pack , where she needs to be ? I also suggest that you contact a professional . ASAP . and if you're in melb. maybe try members erny or cosmolo. They can also help with the introduction of a baby into your 'pack' . -
Glad you heard back from the breeder .. :)

Whatever 'cream' you are using will not have an effect in a couple of days .... treatment needs to be continued for some time . Unfortunately- applying medications can then sometimes muddle results of skin scrapings, etc ... What medication are you applying now?

Walking Sticks And Pulling Dogs

What about the front fastening harnesses? They weren't around years ago when I was training dogs with old/tottery folks , and I have not used one, but they get good reviews on here :) I used to provide headcollars in cases of limited mobility ...and do lots of training with a dog beforehand- so they were steady when we started off ;) Have you thought about Schroeder maybe being trained by a trainer first, then transferring those skills to the owners once he has learnt what it's all about ? ( not something I normally approve of ...but where there is a real possibility of injury , it could be something to consider.) It may also give the owners more confidence, seing that he 'can' do it , and then they are able to work on their own balance/posture /communication skills safely ... The other possibility is that they get help from an assistance dog group, who should be used to working with people who have mobility concerns . oh .. and although I am solid and fairly mobile..I walk with a walking stick too ;) it always is an interesting exercise trying to leash train a puppy ! :p
