  1. for the pretty girl :) I like reading that sort of update !!!!
  2. Hmmmm..sounds more like anxiety in a baby like that . and this is where you, her teacher, steps in :) she needs to be taken out often ..and also gently taught to enjoy spending time outside alone with bones/sandpit/toys etc.
  3. That's a really lovely update :) She looks so happy and content ..and the photos are great!
  4. Glad the meet/greet went well.. and I hope the cat eating desire will lessen That's always a worry . I'm looking forward to photos :)
  5. :) Good news . Better out than in ! Hopefully she has a good night, now.
  6. Poor old girl .. Mum's old Koolie had open pyo when she was elderly ..I noticed it one night ..she was operated on next morning ...and recovered well .. Hopefully Tess will be fine tomorrow ..and feeling much more comfortable.
  7. if you have no definite diagnosis, and they have started on the AB's .. you might as well continue .... glad she isn't constipated anymore.
  8. That is such sad news ... sometimes they age far too quickly, and then things start to go wrong way before we are ready. She will be loved and spoilt and happy ..and that is what counts. She will enjoy her days ,and when she isn't, then you will give her the gift of rest .She's a lucky girl ..and will leave a big hole ,and lots of memories. Thinking of you all...
  9. A lot of us feel the same way ...BUT parvo virus will kill your pup ..and a course of vaccines when young are known to be effective in preventing this. (I use a lot of 'alternative' treatments, but no way would I rely on them to try & prevent parvo.) there has been similar discussion on D O L previously ..maybe have a read LINK LINK LINK
  10. Say you're helping out by getting dog health checked ...Oh..and the vet thought it best to desex as as well ;)
  11. I don't 'apologise' to my dogs if they happen to be in the way of my feet/walking stick/chair ....and yes, I believe dogs easily sense changes in human emotions, etc .They are very good at reading body language, and working out what different voice tones/scents we produce mean. Dogs make excellent service dogs /alert dogs because they can sense when things are about to change , for example someone who suffers from panic attacks..or epilepsy, or very unstable blood sugar levels .Trained dogs are terrific at reading the human body :)
  12. adobe website ..and they usually have a free trial :) Must admit to not using either much these days ..basic stuff I use picasa ..or more often, photoscape ..a free program
  13. ears pricked ..and a 5 second head lift ..then back to sleep :)
  14. That is very sad..but I hope they are now both at peace and happy together somewhere over the bridge.
  15. and photos of her gorgeous smile :) She may be bent & broken... but she is a happy girl now .
  16. KC is spread by droplets from nose/mouth during coughing, etc ... so Coco has probably been exposed already . It can last up to 3 weeks .. so , if you need to keep them seperate, your poor dogs will not be happy being outside all that time It is a virus .. like tracheitis in humans ..so avoid walking on collars which press on their throats - as it may make them cough more . I agree with Kirty's post ,and also recommend seeing a different vet and getting a good check .
  17. They both could indeed have kennel cough.... not all dogs cough all the time ..and kennel cough can be very much like a dry reach, with froth.... The constipation is a worry - hopefully the pumpkin will help , and I hope your vet gives you some answers tomorrow.
  18. Aaaawwww..she looks so happy , and much healthier! You have done a great job!
  19. Cot mattress/old doona/mattress protector in a doona cover ..
  20. I agree with this .... jane harper is a name mentioned on here a lot for folks in QLD ... perhaps contact her and ask her help?
