from HERE Epsom Salts Foot Bath Did you know this foot bath can assist dogs suffering from seasonal allergies that result in red itchy feet and patterns? In addition, it’s a great way to give your dog a magnesium boost. Use 1/2 a cup of salts in a bucket, start with some boiling water to dissolve the crystals and the add cold water with the result being luke warm water. Soak for 5-10 mins. Give the dog a nice gentle massage or treats to keep them in place. Sometimes it’s a 2 people job. If you have a big dog, you may need to do one foot at a time or use a larger container - if you can get the dog in the bath then that’s awesome and they can have an Epsom salts bath. Dry well after and you can repeat daily. Some chronic dogs are treated up to 4 times a day. Remember, with seasonal allergy dogs, wipe their coats down with a wet towel and rinse feet after walks to rid pollens and contact irritants. The current high humidity in Sydney is not helping skin issue dogs Support your problem dog with a healthy diet with omega-3s and food high in Zinc and E. Be sure to see your Vet if you can’t get a handle on your dogs skin issues - if your Vet isn’t able to help you any further, ask for a referral to a Dermatologist. 1313 10 comments6 shares Belinda Hansen Like CommentShare ✔ Tesalate Sponsored · Don't go traveling without one! Food Advice Please!
persephone replied to MARY H B's topic in Dog Rescue (General Rescue Discussion)
Anything fishy - smelling ? Old dogs will often just not be interested in food ..... if the medication is in tablet/pill form ..would it not be easier to use a pill popper or finger to put it in Angel's throat ? That way , you KNOW it's there -
Thanks for this ! I had no idea .

Sooty has "gotten to" me more than most of the other most fortunate oldies , for some reason ..maybe he lack of sight added to everything else ? Whatever ... each time a new comment pops up I am hoping it's more good news LMO .. Y'know, in the distant future, as you cross'that" rainbow ... you'll need security guards , cos there will be SO many wagging tails & lolling tongues awaiting you

Oh, bugga poor dog/s ... and poor little baby

take puppy to the vet . that is most important . get the vet to write the reasons for the eye popping...check vision, and then explain things to you .

Ohhhh... I am sorry you feel so unhappy . Are you absolutely sure you can't train yourself ? I am glad you told us ...These forums are SO valuable to folks just like you , who often feel as if they are way out of their depth with a new puppy .... . We can try & help you to stop feeling like the worst dog owner in the world ... you are not the first to do what you've done ... and that you feel so bad shows how much love you have for little Tuffy . If you really feel that you cannot trust yourself and are looking for another home ... then , please ask ANY questions here if you think the home might not be good enough for this little boy . Would you like to give it another try ? It has more chance of getting better the older he gets - truly ....

eek.. no , not with your crew!

Teddy ... he is obviously feeling so much better

I agree with Bundy... It does sound as if he's been scratching, and his nails have broken the skin. Check him for allergies/coat problems/fleas ?

At 16 wks , he will have lots of habits already formed ... and is used to sleeping a certain way/in certain places . This will take time . if yr kids complain ... let him sleep with them ;)
