Thanks for the feedback. As you have suggested, there is still going to be some issues and we will try to fine tune it again for 2013 but most times when you try to 'fix' something, another issue is introduced. I saw DWD and Rally included. Didn't see flyball though Flyball is in the 'agility and games' section. You should be able to enter them now. Can you let me know what error you get or what the issue is. (The NZ pointscore is still not ready though.)

Just wanted to make a comment re the ordering and receiving of treats. As you are probably aware, these are prohibited items and cannot be imported into Australia (and if you were not aware of this, it has now been pointed out in a number of posts so please do not order/import them). Posting on a public forum that you have imported these goods into Australia is probably not the wisest move and leaves you open to possible fines.

We need those results for tie-breaking if there is more than one dog on the same number of points.

I have modified the Breed Challenge rules to make it clear re R/UP BOB as I am sure I will get other questions about it.

I like the fact it will be based on challenge points for BOB and that it is capped at 40 shows/results (less would have been better, but hey it's a start) yes it's a good start .... I emailed a couple of questions to clarify a couple of the things on the Breed Challenge. It mentions; AllBreed & Specialty wins ... are "Group" shows included? Runner Up Best Of Breed - what if they were not a CC winner ? For the purposes of the pointscore, we define a Group Show as an All Breeds Show. Any show that has less than one full ANKC group is a specialty. Re the Runner-Up BOB, if they get no challenge points, then unfortunately they get no points. The result has been included in the list for the cases where they did get the challenge for their sex and got R/UP BOB as well. This result will then be used in tie-break situations if necessary.

I am getting really sick of this conflict that is going on between certain people. If it continues, you will all be given a break from the forum. Drop it and move on.

Just confirming I have received your email however I need more information apart from another breeder confirming to you that they are a 'backyard breeder'. What is your definition of a backyard breeder? There are a lot of breeders out there that many would label a 'backyard breeder' that are ANKC registered and abide by the ANKC rules, only breed purebred dogs and register all dogs/pups with the ANKC. But the person selling the pups on here isnt offering papers for the pups... simply "birth certificates" I need the proof that they are selling the pups unregistered. If that is the case, I do not want them advertising on this site and they will be removed. Please email me at [email protected] with details of the breeder. If nobody tells us of issues, we have no idea there is a problem. Even if you do not have any proof of this that you can send, if we know of a potential issue, we can place the breeder in our suspect file so if we get any further complaints about wrongdoings (even without proof), there is a good chance that they are actually doing something wrong and we can remove them.

We are considering this (maybe 25). The other parts of the pointscore will likely remain at 40 due to the possibility of not being able to separate leaders if the number of shows is set too low.

As has been previoulsy stated in a pointscore topic on here, our competition will also be changing next year. Some parts are still being finalised (and hence the following is not set in concrete). No official announcement will be made until mid November. We will be limiting the number of shows to the best 40 results obtained throughout the year. This will be applied to all parts of the pointscore competition. The system will constantly calculate the top 40 shows from those that you submit. The Best of Breed competition will be changed to the 'Breed Challenge'. It will be based on Challenge points received. This should stop the practice of people entering multiple dogs to unfairly get extra points as well as some other perceived failings that people point out in the current BOB competition. The Rising Star competition will have more tiers in the points allocation depending on the size of the show. The tiered points will only apply to class in group and class in show wins. Class in Breed results will remain a flat 5 points regardless of the size of the show.

I am not a fan of facebook either but I don't beleve it is going anywhere soon. It has become too big. A lot of people do like it ... those same people would probably not see the point in some of the things I like to do in my spare time. I think this is a happy medium, if you want to be involved in facebook via Dogz Online, you can ... if you don't then nothing really changes for you. The facebook likes have been removed from the topics. Age doesn't really come into it ... I am a fan of the internet/technology in general and I am nearly 50 . The internet appeals to all ages.

As for the profiles, once I get it working it will be totally optional to have it displayed as I previously stated. I do not understand why people are still complaining about it? If you like it and want it for your dog only, you can switch it on, it you don't like it, you can leave it switched off. Am I missing something as to why people are up in arms about it? As for the forum topics, no need to panic there either, it has been switched off. I will eventually put something in the header where you can like the forum itself rather than a topic.

You obviously don't visit facebook much. Topics on here are regularly cross posted and discussed already.
