 changes were happening long before her TV rant. Really? Do you have link? Yes & what about her lies ,the stand out was the article regarding the big winning Shar Pei . Changes are good but they where being done a long time before hand after all new testing for many issues have only appeared in the last few years . In 2 of the breeds im heavily involved with last year was the first time you could test for a certain health issue a massive step forward but we can only go as quick as the tests made available & with this test we have to send it overseas to get it done . Opportunities to use MRI 's & the likes have become a new tool to fight certain issues & it comes at great expense too . Not every state in Australia has many of the testing facilities available,i now i had to make the most of a trip east to get one of my dogs tested for an issue that affects the breed . There are many good breeders begging & pleading with certain services to be more available in some states & have testing days maybe 1 or twice a year with very limited spots certainly not enough to to test all & often funded by those people to fly testers over or pay the daily fee some charge. People shouldn't be bitching about the breeders one should look at the Veterinary world & ask why they expect so much from breeders yet don't offer the services to assist ,it cuts both ways

Long Term Dog Accommodation Options
Dogsfevr replied to Simply Grand's topic in General Dog Discussion
Many of our boarders are 3 months stays & 99% cope very well . A small few & select breeds tend to lose weight towards the end but if the kennel has been selected for comfort & plenty of outside access then the dog should do well . For 7 weeks i wouldn't be doing it for free though & if you do make sure you have vacc cards & permission to board if it becomes to much & pick a kennel she has visited & is comfy with. We get alot of dogs in boarding that people have started out house sitting & after a few weeks it just doesn't work out but many don't have the info required to kennel the dog/s -
no doubt another schnoodle breeder and people wonder why we sell all our pups on spay conditions (schnauzer)

Seriously take a chill pill & a good bitch has no issues in winning . Every year that years winners are special out with the old in with the new that is how it works . As someone who has done well in the point score section i don't find it an issue , Let me just say in one breed & a coated breed all three winners where bitches in a breed that is highly competitive with some amazing males .

Does Anyone Here Do Mobile Dog Grooming?
Dogsfevr replied to Esky the husky's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I have never done mobile ,i do salon from home & couldn't bare the thought of doing this job mobile stuck in a little van or trailer. In the stinking heat wrestling with a dog i am so grateful for my air con ,toilet close by & all the other bits & pieces -
How do the children react around dogs smaller in size?? If the children are terrified of the dog what will be your plan long term

not hot here

Mine don't feel the heat

I find the dual cabs hotter in the back than a trailer even with the sliding windows . Given the height of the ground it can also be a pain getting the dogs up/down & getting stuff in .

Reattaching A Dog To A New Family Member? Help
Dogsfevr replied to angelsophie's topic in General Dog Discussion
I agree let daughter do the fun things BUT daughter must also understand if the dog doesn't want to sleep in her room that the dogs needs come first, don't set daughter up for another disappointment . But don't make the situation pushy, the dog will not respond if you all go overboard, this dogs routine means as much to it & as the plan your daughter has The dog is the one who has to deal with the major change I personally wouldn't shut her in each night she needs to want to be there ,the worse case of being forced is she sleeps at the door waiting for it to open which isn't what your daughter wants -

Bali has had it for years so no real surprise . I guess one bright side is maybe if it gets here we no longer have to do the quarantine aspect entering the country

Is she in her crate for any reason. Added stress may mean a longer recovery especially if there a clean dog & need to empty out . Just go to the chemist & buy floramax tablets to realign the good gut bacteria. There are plenty of options for the runs most vets will sell scourban or similar it just depends on how bad it is You can still feed her if need be just something very light ,we use chicken mince & Pumpkin .Some dogs just don't do the full starve well & need a little something to settle others 24 is no big deal.

If she plans to breed then don't get involved. Let her make her own decisions & get a feeling of what her puppy buyers may go through after all if she wants to breed people will be phoning her for advice . If she doesn't have the brains to take pup to the vet then heaven. help her when she plans to breed She obviously is not aware the breed standard has been changed & the size increased for Chis

http://www.dolforums.com.au/topic/195601-my-toy-poodle-shakes-his-head/page__p__4520504__fromsearch__1#entry452050 Is this the same dog Its a chemical, all of those products come with risks. The worse one we know for skin reactions & burning is frontline . As far as toxic for cats many dog products are but many people never read the instructions either or guidelines for reactions .
