  1. Ah thanks dogmad, good idea re the 4 Paws. Heres the little poppet herself, hamming it up with one of the guys at work, he said he would remove her tooth for me, save me a trip to the vets! and this one, she looks so happy, I really hate taking them to the vets.
  2. Thanks, I am hoping it will all go smoothly, she hasn't been in any pain seemingly and it was only by chance that i found the tooth/teeth that were rotten, she had bad breath ( I may have even posted here about it) and the vet couldn't find anything and when it never let up I did some more exploring and found her very back tooth that you can't really see was discoloured so the vet is thinking that this is what was causing the bad breath, she thinks the very back one and the one next to it will have to come out but they won't know till they put her out to it. She will let me look in her mouth fine but not the vet. I took some very awkward photos for the vet to have a look at and she is sure the teeth are rotten and have to come out. Strange thing is I thought she would have had pain on chewing but she seems fine chewing her tea up fine and still chewing on her toys and hard treats with no trouble at all.
  3. Hi guys my girl Tully is having a couple of teeth out tomorrow and I am wondering what to expect with after care. I'm sure the vet will give me instructions but in the meantime I thought it will be good to be prepared. The vet nurse said dogs bounce back really quickly after having teeth out and there is not much to worry about. I'm thinking she will need to be kept quiet for at least a few days? Her diet is mainly dry and bones, so I am assuming she will need to be on a soft food for a few days? Not sure what to feed her really, She has never had tin food, perhaps some mince and veg? Any advice on feeding? Anything else I need to be prepared for? My old dog was 16 and the ones I have now are 7, 6, 5, and 5 and none have ever needed teeth out so I really don't know what to expect and who else to ask but the brains trust of DOL!! She also had a little lump on her chest which they are going to have a good look at and another (which looks like a small wart) on her side. I've clipped around them with the clippers so they don't have to go searching through her fur, so she is all bathed and ready to go bright and early in the morning! Thanks for any advice.
  4. That's awful. I'd be reporting to your local council. Do you have any friends with friendly dogs you can get Toby around for a play. The owners should be taking responsibility if they knew the dog was DA it should not have been with a small child. Did it even have a lead on? Having had my own dogs attacked on more than one occasion I can sympathize, hope your feeling better soon.
  5. I still can't figure out why DDP is so much cheaper. It doesn't say it's refurbished but might be worth checking just incase.
  6. I think your right no matter where you get it from there is always going to be fors and against! Can't wait to hear what you think of it! DDP has free postage on orders over $150 too. Most of the recent pics on my facey page are taken with the 6D if you want to have a look feel free HERE
  7. $1598.00 at DPP compared to $1799.00 at Kogan, seem a huge difference not sure why? I recently got my 85mm and speedlight from Kogan, very happy with their service.
  8. Congrats on your silvers Huga, i was only just reading all the drama about Jonas Peterson, his work is amazing! Sorry for going OT. Good luck hope the whippys win the comp you enter!!
  9. Here it is, I havent got anything from them but have only heard good reports DDP
  10. A friend recently got an 85mm from DWI and it had a fibre of somesort suspended in the element. Their after sales service was aweful so he put in a PayPal dispute and eventually got him money back. I know of another place i'll add the link later when I get home from work. I got my 70-200 from DWI at Xmas time and have had no problems with it.
  11. No brainier if you can get it the 6D is awesome and amazing! The low light performance is every bit as good as the 5D mk iii I agree with Huga I think you would regret not getting the 6D. Have you had a full frame before? Your pictures are already stunning you will be blown away with what a full frame can offer you! While the 6D is marketed as an entry level full frame I don't agree that the 6D is amateur quality unless you are going to be shooting in the rain and storms and need super weather sealing the 5D offers then the 6D is every bit as capable. I've seen some comparisons between the two cameras and decent glass on both cameras is producing the same quality images. I just got the 85mm 1.8 it's sooooo nice! I haven't had the opportunity to use it on a little person yet but the few pics I have taken with it are great!
  12. Thats fantastic, did you crop this one at all? What lenses did you get with it? always fun to have new toys!! Look forward to more.
  13. Great photos everyone, looks like there really is only a few of us left now. A couple from me. Cooper Look at Moiiii
  14. Snook same thing happened to a girl in my Photography group, she was answering all the questions and one was do you make any money from your photography and she was just honest and said occasionally to which they replied well your not covered. After a lot of tears and drama they came to the party and paid out her claim. (New D7000 and 70 - 300 lens) She snapped the lens off the camera body by accident rendering the camera and lens useless and unfixable. I don't consider any money I make from my photography any sort of profit/income etc, especially when I am still in the red for some of my equipment!
  15. When I got the permit for my 4th dog, I had to write a letter and the council rang our neighbours ( I had no idea they did this till one neighbour told me) and then I got the letter to say the permit had been approved but it was not really a permit as such more just a letter to say we are allowed to have four dogs and have to comply with regular payment of rego etc. The didn't even inspect my yard.
  16. I don't have big dogs but have both k9 Pro and Ruthless Leather collars, both are excellent quality!
  17. Clay is just a little dream boat! He is growing so big, where does the time go!! WIsh they stayed puppies longer!!
  18. Love Cedar and Clay! So cute playing together! Where is Jake, is that his head poking out of the tunnel? What a great yard you have!! A few more from me, this day was Coopers 7th Birthday so we had a big day out!
  19. It does look really cool, I have a friend who is a master at long exposures, light painting etc and the first thing he said was smoke too. But like you said if it was why isn't it in the other pics!
  20. Do you have another vet you can go too. One that is not so hung up on food. Yes food is important but that's ridiculous. Be guided by your puppy, watch his weight, his coat and his energy levels. You will know if the food is not working out. Even then there is better food out there than advance! I've just recently had three friends change their dogs food to Black Hawk, two were feeding advance and one feeding supercoat. Stafford, GSD and Great Dane. All are doing beautifully on the BH.
  21. I would feed your pup what he does well on? If you happy with the BH go with it, if he is on it for a couple of months and is looking shabby then change. Just curious what is black Hawk large breed puppy food? Have they released another variety? I thought it was a one size fits all breed puppy food that Black Hawk makes? BH puppy food here.
  22. OMG I would love to see that. Tell Shannon I was asking after her. Will do!
  23. Migs is great, she comes to our training some Sundays and we have play dates, she gets on great with my 4 which is awesome. I was at Shannon's the other day and she loves to sit on Mawson and when I say sit its exactly that, she just backs up and plonks herself on him. it's hilarious to watch! Maws is so patient!
