@ Echo with the treat on her head, she is so cute!!

I love the oldies too!! Robbi, it sounds like Jess is living life to the fullest with you. Bet your glad you were at that sale that day!! MM, Tinka's adorable!! 16 is a grand age for sure, our old dog was 16 when he went to the bridge, hardest decision we have ever had to make. I wonder how many people wish thier older pets just go peacfully in thier sleep, because to make the decision to let them go is just the worst thing ever!! I think about this with Holly because of her age, but she still has a ways to go yet. Didnt mean to get morbid.... Hope to see some more pics of some seniors doggy citizens!!

Oh thats aweful, I hope she gets better soon. What is addisons disease? Is it related to the surgery she had? Sending healing vibes for your girl!

That certainly makes a lot of sense!! I did another test tonight with my girl at tea time, she sat and waited for the cue and i told her to eat up, she didnt move so I said nothing and did the hand signal for eat up and still nothing, but when I did the two together she went for it. And I think she knows Im testing her or maybe she is testing me! I am going to make a concsious effort from now on to give clear voice commands just before I give the hand signal for behaviours, so they become accustomed to both.

Yea I get that, I guess what amazes me is one can have such high prey drive and my other girl is the total opposite, she sees me throw the ball and to her its like, what you expect me to run no way she is not interested at all. They are so different, the boys are mildly interested but thats about it.
-
Thanks PF, will check it out!
-
Lottie looks adorable. Both my girls were done between 5 - 6 months with no problems!

Thats great, I will go back to the ball maybe after I have tried with something else and you have given me some great ideas to try with Tully. Thanks! I wonder what makes a dog so ball oriented? My boys will chase the ball but couldn't be bothered bring it back, they just do it so Tully will chase them. and she does too but she never fights them for it, she just follows thier every move because she has learnt that they will drop it eventually and then its hers and she always brings it back so I can throw it again. She even gets out of the car and comes right to me as if to say "have we got a ball today mum, have we have we" I don't let her have the ball all the time as she does get really obsessed and nothing else matters. Her mum was ball obsessed too, maybe it is genetic??

Ok cool, is that something you can buy at a pet shop or is it a specialty thing? I forgot to mention in my last post that vetproductsdirect.com have aloveen a lot cheaper than anywhere else I have seen it. I have the Aloveen conditoner on hand as the vet recommended it after a bath as a leave in, for one of my girls as she has a slight allergy in summer to grass.
-
I bath my lot once a week and to begin with I used Aloveen but it soon became to expensive with 4, I don't stick to any one particular shampoo, depends how cashed up I am when I need it and it doesn't bother my lot and thier coats. I use a horse whitening shampoo once a month on my white girl, it is called glo white, its great! Slightly off topic but Poodlefan, do you use conditioner on your Poos? and if so what? Poppydog, I have noticed in some of your posts you have said Poppy is a X do you mind if I ask what she is crossed with? Can you post a pic? or have you posed a pic somewhere?
-
Sounds like you have clever doggies that love a challenge!! I will try that for sure and something else just occured to me reading your post, I have probly been expecting to much as I have been trying this with a ball (Tully most best thing in the whole world) so I will start again but using a toy (tug or something similar) and go from there as I know she wont be as keen as she is with the ball. Thanks its given me food for thought!

He's like What The!! Reminds me of a similar occasion the other week at the beach, Cooper found a fish head and decided it was going to be a snack so while he was munching away, my friends Beagle x came up to see if she could get some of this fish head action, so Cooper stopped chomping to growl her away and with that Bronson swooped in and grabbed the fish head and ran like the wind, it was hilarious (I guess you had to be there) as Cooper didn't realize and was searching around for the head like.... what the?..... where the heck did it go? And Bronson was a little way away looking over as if to say Na na na na na! Bronson didnt wanna eat it, he just wanted the others to chase him as he is a real stirrer!! Anyway great photo!! Also I feel your pain, I would hate having no camera!
