I think Delilah has shown what a resilient little dog she is. After watching her I think she would fit in with any family, so if it doesn't work out with this family I'm sure it will with the next one. The new owners seemed like nice sensible people. Great exposure for rescue too. I'm hoping Delilah has her own Facebook page so we can see how she gets on with her new family.

Hope your ok today and to a bit of sleep.

Whoops just seen Willow suggested a similar sign. Could have just been kids getting their thrill for the day?

YG, if I'm right your BB connection thingy plugs directly into your PC yea? Or is it a stand alone device that can have multiple devices hooked up to it? If its plug into PC only you can't use a wifi camera with it. So if I'm getting this right, it more than likely a person yea? So they must know when your gone? Possibly see you leave? So it could be a neighbour? Could you put a sign on your gate/fence/door and have it saying premises under surveillance or some such thing? It might be a deterrent? Just a thought. Your poor doggies. I can imagine how you would feel and especially worse with the elderly non seeing dogs.

He looks like a happy boy! Why is his nose going white? My guys used to have black noses now 3 have brownish pink noses? They darken up at certain times of the year.

I not sure how much upload it would use as we have a massive amount so no way to tell really but I wouldn't think it would be much, the thing is to use the router YG would need an also connection which she hasn't got. There is no way to hook the cameras I have up to a wireless dongle.

Na not rare, apart from my young ones nose! I did answer you in THIS thread but you must not have went back.

Thanks, I think so too. They are not a breed, they are a cross. English Cocker x Mini Poo.

I noticed in an earlier post you said you only had a thing to plug into your pc for Internet, so I'm assuming you don't have a wifi connection in your house? My cameras work off wifi, not sure how else you would get cameras to work if you wanted to view them away from the home. Unless you set up a camera that just records the same way as the dictaphone?

The growling sound at the last bit almost seems to stop abruptly, then silence, wouldn't at least one of the dogs still made a bit of a carry on if it was a person?? Just trying to think of it if it was my lot. A they wouldn't howl they would bark and no way would they go quiet at a noise like that, it would set them off more. Edited to add after listening to the first bit again, the voice could be coming from the tv?

Just some random ones, I love that I can snap pics where ever I am with the iphone, they may not be technically correct most of the time but to me its all about the memories they create. :)

A few more. funky sky at work one early morning! A few of the pooches

Nice horsey shots woofers, I had totally forgotten about this thread till the other day when I took a couple of shots in the early morning at work and thought the sky was seriously amazing. So I thought I'd update in here with a few form the last couple of months, hope we can revive this thread a bit. These ones were from the beach last week, I didn't take my good camera as it was raining when we left home but cleared up when we got there, it always the way! This sky was from last weekend, something different. These ones were from today

Ive had another listen, serveral actually, I can definatley hear what sounds like a females voice at the start but it sounds like a helium voice like really high pitched. If it was someone growling, its weird because it finishes so abruptly and then quiet. I have two video capture devices set up and while I am away from home they go on, my guys just sleep, somedays I don't even check in but if I am working longer I check in to see if they are restless and if so (never happened yet) I would come home and let them out for a toilet stop. I only work about 3 mins drive from home and only work 5 hour shifts. I've had many a people say what would you do if you were watching them (I can watch in real time through an app on my phone) and someone walked past the camera!? I have also discovered my lot howl at the telephone if it rings while I'm not there, they don't do this at all if I am at home. I wonder if they think if they howl loud enough I will come home to answer the phone! I just read Aussies last post about the crying and howling, would they normally howl at a person? Mine would never howl at a person only at a noise like the telephone? But it still comes back to what is making the noise?

I know I'm torn because I really want the zooming capacity for the dogs, beach days etc, but I have gotten so used to using the 40mm and the 100mm and I can totally understand why you would prefer to use a prime lens compared to a Zoom. But the 7D plus the 70-200 I can see myself only using it for specific occasions and at the moment I think I would benifit from the 85mm. I have been searching POTN and so many say the Canon 85mm 1.8 is great and it is half the price of the Sigma 1.4 but I am worried if I get the 1.8 I'll be kicking myself saying I should have got the 1.4. But in reality I can really only afford to have the 1.8  Bloody hell what I really need is to win tattslotto then I could have one of everything!

 That sounded like nothing I have ever heard before. I bet you freaked out big time when you first heard it! I have no clue!

Mine on the 7D needs something really distinct to focus on, or it searches for something to focus on even after I've taken my finger off the focus button ( I use back button focus) I put it on the 650D last night and it was the same but I used it today on the 650 in good light and it was fine, much better than it is on the 7D. The 40mm is totally different. What happened with yours? something similar?

I used the sport harness on two of mine when they were youngsters, they worked great. Can't see why they wouldn't let you use them at training? After using them for a while mine just 'got it' and I didn't need to use them any more.
-
Can't help with either but just wanted to say all 4 of mine were desexed and none of them needed a collar. I always hear people talking about them. I guess some dogs are prone to licking the suture site? Good luck with your search for the right one, I guess they are not that expensive so if you don't need to use it, it won't matter.

Snook I think your absolutely right, I'm just thinking in terms of out and about with the dogs and doing some portrait type shots with the 85mm if I decide I want to get some actions type shots, I'd like to be able to do both. I still really want the 70-200 but I'm thinking at the moment with what I'm taking photos of I might get more use out of another prime? And the 85mm is I between what I already have.

Wow Pers, he does amazing work! Love them! -
Thanks for all the info, I said it on face bokk but I'll say it again here, your hair looks awesome, love the colour! I am hoping the 85mm will be a bit versatile for some doggy action and I think looking at CM's shots it will be. Now just gotta get it. :)
