  2. I saw this on my facebook page from a friend who lives in the Sale area, posted by the Gippsland veterinary hospital. Not sure if the tick's always been in that area and they're just spruiking for business about tick prevention, but the way it's worded I get the impression it's an infestation and the paralysis tick doesn't normally occur in the area. If that's the case please check your dogs and cats. EDIT: Just checked the distribution map,it's depicted as being in just the Eastern tip of Vic, to around Lakes Entrance, so it does seem to be spreading South/West.
  3. that's a very cute photo. I hope she didn't leave a skiddy on your daughters jeans.
  4. she does this all the time, she bats at everything like a little kitten, it's the cutest thing.
  5. I think I know who you are now. Did you come to one of our whippet fun days at Healesville greyhound track a few years ago. Have you got a 3 legged Iggy? Fidget's a cute name. I was also thinking about Smidgen
  6. Mine are all adults now and have the run of the house except for the kitchen because they will jump on the benches. When I get my puppy I will probably crate her or if it's for a long time I might take her with me. If I have to go out all day and it's Summer, depending on the weather, I might even lock them all outside because of puppy. I wouldn't leave her unsupervised for long periods inside my house.
  7. a little over 3 weeks. He wants to keep her until she's 10 weeks. I dont mind because I see her regularly anyway and I think it's good for her to spend time with her Mum and brothers. she's part gazelle 5F6A8238dpptcr by kirislin, on Flickr a Kung Fu gazelle that is. 5F6A8226dpptcr by kirislin, on Flickr Ten-Hut!! 5F6A8235dpptcr by kirislin, on Flickr

  12. Only one photo? : I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd like to see more. It must have been an amazing experience.
  13. you might have better luck getting lamb flaps/ribs from a proper butcher rather than big chain supermarkets. Talk to your local butcher and find out when he bones out the lamb and ask him to save you the ribs. My butcher does it for me and I get a good bag for $2.50. I recently got 15kgs of turkey necks through a friend who did a bulk order for all his doggy friends. I think they only cost $2.50 per kg because he bought about 40 kgs.
  14. Yeah, I can do that. I'm recharging the battery now. It's the 3rd time in less than 24 hours that I've had to do it. I've removed the lens because I read somewhere someone thought that was what was draining their battery. I might try removing the battery when not using the camera, but I shouldn't have to do that.
  15. This is the newer camera battery which says it's still functioning well. I have an older battery that is not very efficient now, but this one according to the camera, when fully charged should be working fine.
  16. Yesterday I charged my camera battery and this morning the camera was completely dead. I recharged the battery, and checked the diagnostics which said the battery was fully charged. Then a few minutes ago I noticed the cameras red light flashing and again, like this morning I tried to turn it on and it was dead. I dont think it's the battery, I think the camera is draining it even when it's turned off. Anyone else ever had this problem?
  17. good luck, you never know, you might find someone who can help you come to some sort of arrangement that will work for everyone. You wouldn't be the first person to ask for something like this here. You might bomb out, but it doesn't hurt to ask.
  18. I no longer have actual water bowl at home because I've got 2 clam shell wading pools and lots of large ceramic water garden bowls that the dogs and chooks all choose to drink from. What about a metal bucket tied to the tap for your dogs?
  19. I've seen vids of this on youtube, it's quite a serious sport in some countries. Very cute, I'm glad they're doing it here now. I've also seen a pussycat doing agility.
  20. quite a mix where I live. Lots of shih tzu crosses, cavvie crosses, poodle crosses and bull breed crosses, they're probably the most common, but also lots of working dogs, JRTs, and various purebreds too.
  21. congratulations. I really like the first one
