I didn't suggest to Cath that she contact the people she bought/got/ them from as I reckon that they may have been glad to see the back of them.

"Hi we have 2 beautiful Siberian Huskys that need new homes we are selling our house and really dont have the time anymore for them and we really need our back yard back... You MUST have a fully fenced yard this breed love to dig and can jump they are a magnificant breed but you really need to walk them every day and they dont like small animals they dont mind children but i wouldnt trust them alone with any child under 10 they would be better kept together as they do spend a lot of time playing together, they like the dog runs as well, they are not desexed and we have only had them for around 2 mths the girl is 2 yrs and the boy is 3 they are both black and white and the boy has bi eyes blue and brown and the girl has party eyes blue and blue/brown you really must know how to handle this breed and what to expect or you may not be able to keep them please do your research first before applying to have them i will not be giving them to just the first to reply i need to know you can properly home them so please tell me about your situation anyway hope to hear from you soon Cath"

My 3 are all harnessed in along the back seat and all in a tidy row when we begin, by the time we get to where ever we are going they are all twisted up from turning round trying to make little 'nests' it's a pain in the ar#e.

My three like the usual... bananas, apple, carrots & pawpaw but they also REALLY love cucumbers...crunch crunch crunch. I saw Penny pulling the strawberries off the bush and eating them yesterday (I had been accusing OH of eating them)

I have sent an email to Troy asking this question, but thought I'd ask here so not to put Troy to any hassle... this is what I asked Hello Troy, I have contacted Kim Niles ( http://www.kiniart.com/ ) asking if I could use one of her drawings as an avatar on DOL. She has drawn one for me with 3 westies but I can't upload it even though I have made it as small as I can when I edited it in Picasa. This is the little picture... Can you suggest how to upload it (how do I make it smaller?) as I get the error message... The total filespace required to upload all the attached files is greater than your per post or global limit. Please reduce the number of attachments or the size of the attachments. Perhaps one of you can help...I had made it smaller this size --> but it still wouldn't load Thanks edited to add.... I just saw the Pinned topic about photos and avatars so have emailed my picture off so it can be made smaller

I thought I'd register Penny, so just barged ahead and filled in the form, but, when I filled in the Puppies date of Birth thingo with November 1998 I got this message.... It seems that your dog is not a puppy anymore. This promotion is only available to owners with a puppy Should have known that the word 'Puppy' really meant young in years Nope...Penny is not a puppy anymore! (bad luck Pen, you miss out on some treats!) -
Hi becks, I have 3 Westies and use laserlites which is ok but their hair is really soft...do Vetzyme have a non-flea shampoo that leaves their hair feeling like wire? Or is there another shampoo that leaves the coat coarse-feeling (I don't strip the dogs)

http://www.couriermail.com.au/news/queensl...f-1225960944026 A DRUG-addled habitual Ipswich thief who was shot after stabbing a police dog in a bid to escape arrest 15-months ago has today been jailed for seven years. The Brisbane District Court was told Christine Louise Thomson, 33, was shot after lunging at police officers and then repeatedly stabbing decorated canine unit operative "PD Zac" during a confrontation at a Runcorn house, on Brisbane's southside, on August 20 last year. Thomson, who was the first woman to be shot by Queensland police, today pleaded guilty to 127 charges, including 34 for burglary, 26 of fraud, 21 stealing, two malicious act with intent and one of injuring an animal in the night time. The court was told Thomson's "relentless crime spree'' -- in two short bursts between December 26, 2006, and August 19 last year -- involved her breaking into houses and cars and stealing almost $135,000 in cash and property to help fund her addiction to amphetamines. Prosecutor Phil McCarthy said Thomson even used subterfuge to trick people into vacating their homes or giving her lifts in their car in order to steal from her unsuspecting victims. He said Johnson tricked one 71-year-old man into leaving his home by telling him he needed to go to a nearby shopping centre to clear up a report about his involvement in a minor motor vehicle accident. The court was told when the elderly man bundled himself and his dog into his car and drove off, Thomson burgled his home. Mr McCarthy said Thomson's other "ruses'' included claiming she was hiding from a man who had just raped her when she was caught burgling one home to stealing from a 73-year-old good Samaritan as he gave her a lift during a time of "distress.'' He said on another Thomson, who also used the alias Thompson, even robbed a person who agreed to give her a lift to hospital because her child was sick. The court was told Thomson would steal just about anything she could, including baby clothes, child safety car seats, cast iron chairs, tool boxes, prescription glasses, hotel-motel linen as well as the usual items targeted by thieves such as jewellery and electrical goods. Mr McCarthy said Thomson's campaign of crime came to a crashing end when she rammed a police car in a bid to avoid arrest on August 19 last year. He said Thomson fled, with police in pursuit, and returned to a rental property at Runcorn and armed herself with a knife. Thomson lunged at police as they entered the home and then stabbed PD Zac repeatedly about the shoulder blades as the German shepherd tried to subdue the knife wielding thief. Mr McCarthy said Thomson, who continued to lunge at police after stabbing PD Zac, was then shot once in the stomach. He said both Thomson and PD Zac, who was described as being as important and valuable to the Queensland Police Service as any sworn officer, made full recoveries from their injuries. The court was told PD Zac's recovery was so thorough that the decorated pooch was able to return to active duty five weeks later. Judge Marshall Irwin jailed Thomson for seven years, but recommended she be eligible for parole after serving 28-months. Thomson, who has been in pre-sentence custody for 462 days, will be eligible for parole in less than a year. In April, The Courier-Mail revealed PD Zac became the fifth Queensland police dog to be honoured with the coveted German Shepherd Dog Council of Australia national service award.
