  1. We didn't have you for very long and you didn't even like me that much but I absolutely adored you. You were the funniest, most spastic little bird I have ever come across. I loved how you would hang upside down staring at us while we were on the computers, and how you screamed at us and ran to each side of the cage for attention. Your cute crooked leg. You and OH had such a special bond... and I never thought I would get this attached to a little bird... I wish so much that you had flown down onto OH. I'll miss you so much.
  2. Last Winter we got into sledding! Looking forward to doing some more. Barney LOVES it. During the week and during Summer he's usually found doing this sort of thing-
  3. So sorry for your loss Rest in peace Sooty.

    Samoyed

Remember to join the Jap Spitz & Samoyed thread when you get him/her!! (and post lots and lots of pictures)
  5. We taught Barney 'kiss' which is where he just uses his nose/mouth to smudge against your cheek. Well he likes to do it when you're tying your shoelaces, picking something up, on the ground doing exercises, and sleeping. If he's really excited you cop a nice hard one in the eye. He gives them freely if you don't want one, but tells you off (woos) if you ask for one.
  6. Umm... What's wrong with a Getz?! Look how happy he is.
  7. Thank god I came back and read that  Now I have to try and find the receipt...
  8. Is this it? Sorry about the size. They come in red, blue and yellow. There's a B, C and A on this one and a little white paw on top. Poor Dougal. Tilly knows what it's like though.
  9. Oooh my Poodle has her favourite ball too and it looks quite similar, I'll take a picture and post it in a minute. We always find them in Coles! We've also had to stock up on them
  10. No I don't wash and brush my Samoyed everyday. No I don't shave him and it's not cruel to have one in QLD!!
  11. Lmao!! Love hearing stories about The Sibs. Such beautiful characters :)
  12. Happy birthday Coco!!! Hope you've had a lovely day
  13. Just gorgeous!! I've never seen a black one
  14. I absolutely adore Poodles (especially Toy) and Samoyeds. I will definitely be having more of both in the future
  15. I used to go to Mountain Creek vets when I lived there. They were absolutely wonderful. The receptionists and nurses were always caring and helpful. So were the vets of course  The head vet there (and owner of the practice I think) is also a chiropractor. I wish I could find the same service where I live now .
  16. I completely agree with both posts. I still cry over my cat, and she died about 3-4 years ago.
  17. It makes sense to do that first, also sounds like a game barn would like  Thanks Ptolomy :). Sorry if this is a stupid question but is it okay if his head moves to where I'm going? Like turns his head to watch when I move or when I go to hand him a treat from the side?
  18. I'm looking for a bit of advice on what to do for a particular thing. I'm having trouble getting Barney to stay in position when I do sit/stays and then walk around him back to where I'm meant to be. I don't know the name of it. I can get just about behind him but then he jumps up turns around and sits either in position again or in front of me... I do clicker/marker word with him so should I just be walking to where he won't move click/treat and then slowly work my way around or is there a better way?
  19. Yep love bugs here too. Barney likes palm fronds, he has to get them out of the garden and has on a few occasions tried to bring them into the house. Tilly currently has a "boyfriend" a green frog with a bung eye that comes to the door all the time. She likes to let us know he's there by coming and whimpering at us to go look at him, she likes to harass my OH as I think she feels he's more easily swayed. At one point she was asking us to turn the light on so she could see it (scratching and staring at the light switch) she's a smart but insane cookie. Pippin isn't really fascinated by anything... Bugs are probably it. He's scared of everything else.
  20. I saw this on FB but I didn't know whether it was true...
  21. Ill put some more pics up this afternoon . . .beach etc.The Pharaoh is a dog like no other.I look at him every day and marvel at his beauty and I kiss him on his head countless times a day.I am going to the Sydney Royal and ill even be wearing a shirt that says "Want a new dog? Get a Phucking Phartarse Pharaoh Phor Life!!" What breeds do you have now Puddleduck? He is such a handsome dog!! Doesn't look spoilt at all ;)
  22. Inside, contained. I still don't trust the little turd. The other two are free to run amok (Sleep)
  23. Pippin- One half of the funny Hobbit duo Merry & Pippin LOTR Tilly (Matilda)- I think I just liked it but I'm sure there is a Queen whose name was Matilda which probably helped the decision. Barney- I was having a tough time thinking of a name and the breeder had been calling him Barney because she had some little Maltese named "Betty" and Wilma" When I went to meet him Barney just suited him completely. So he's Barney Rubble or Trouble. Although he gets Barney Stinson sometimes because as OH says he "Picks up all the chicks" *insert eye roll here*
  24. Another who knows how you feel! I lived there with my fear aggressive (but manageable!) Poodle for about 2 years. The amount of times we had offlead dogs rushing up to us, Write a letter, I'm not sure I'd trust local "reporters" to write up a truly honest article from an interview.
