greyhound coats come in that size and bigger
-
Make her go out, put a coat on her if need be and you take an umbrella for yourself and be tough.

I would be getting a health check, cold feet can be a sign of poor circulation which might mean heart problems. Your dog is now old and while I normally wouldn't put a coat on a GSD because they do have a double coat the coat can get thin on an old dog. So take him to the vet and buy him a coat and then you will have covered all bases.

Practical Solutions To Problems
Rebanne replied to SkySoaringMagpie's topic in General Dog Discussion
Probably depends a bit on the group. I think it makes sense in our group to move the Dachshunds together for example, and right behind the Dachshunds is often a Deerhound who will cover several Dachshund lengths in a single stride even if it's a slow mover. or, in my case, a greyhound! -
 mine stay outside in minus degree temps in winter. Couple of coats, snug kennels, plenty of blankies and they are fine. When I win tattslotto we can all stay home and inside. They are warmer in their kennels then if they were in the kitchen with the door open to the outside.

I leave mine outside when I go to work.

Homeless People In The City With Dogs

http://www.lifewithdogs.tv/2012/05/homeless-with-dog-man-refuses-shelter/ interesting read. -
some dry food makers do advise that adding other foods to their product can cause an imbalance. Can't name them off the top of my head but I have seen that advice previously.

Strange that my two BC's do so well on it. The girl is 19 kilos & the young boy is 23 kilos & VERY active. They get a cup full each a day plus 100g of meat or tinned fish & in the mornings they get 1/2 a turkey neck & if anything, I have to keep a watch that they don't put weight on. I am very happy the way my two are going on BH....here is a picture of my girl with her stash from last weekends agility trial :) & their poos are a real delight to pick up & only twice a day & hardly any smell why do you think it's strange? Not all dogs do well on the same food. You're not even feeding straight BH but a mixture of raw and dry. Unless you are only feeding straight BH I don't think anyone can claim that it is BH doing the good or bad things people are saying. Thats very true hence why I feed only one type of Dry food & no extras... Only way to know whats happening... I would also hope that the dry food I feed is balanced... & by adding extras now potentially unbalances the diet. But I prepared to make the 2mths then make a decision. Otherwise I'll be looking for another brand. OK...so you think that by adding 100g meat or fish & half a turkey neck to my dogs 1 cup of kibble is unbalancing their diet. So you are saying that your dogs do not ever get a raw meaty bone or anything else except kibble in case it "unbalances" their diet. Please tell me what is "unbalanced" by what I give my dogs. If my dogs diet is so "unbalanced" as you say, then please explain why they are so lovely & healthy & active, maintain good weight & have such perfect poos. I am not claiming that it is the BH alone that my dogs are doing well on...I am claiming it is the diet they are on which includes BH. I can't believe there are people out there that do not ever give their dogs a RMB or any extras.....how boring for the dogs. So please explain to me, what I am doing that is unbalancing my dogs" diet & if so....why are they so healthy I have the same type of dogs as DannyBC. Maybe you should try "unbalancing" their diet in the same manner I do, & you might have the same success. and who exactly are you replying too cause I never said anything about your diet being unbalanced.

How To Help Dogs Gain Weight.

lamb flaps and porridge are my weight adding foods as well. Also try a working dog formula and get a good blended oil with the 3 omega's to add to her food. Sometimes dogs just don't eat the volume we want too so adding the omega oil gets the fat content of the food up with out making the meal larger. Spaying may help but if you don't want her desexed don't do it just for the weight angle as there is no way to know if it will make a difference. What does the breeder say and how long have you had her? -

love this

depends on the growth plates in the individual dog. My 11 month old boy's growth plates are closed so he could be desexed now but he isn't fully mature yet and won't be for another 2 years. ETA to get back on topic, yes I had a male dog who I swear poo marked.

how old is the pup now?

what makes you think the dog is allergic to grain? As for the food, start with a small bag of the first one and keep going until you find the one that the dog likes and does well on. Very simple really.

finally!

My greyhounds do brilliantly on minced chicken carcasses and supermarket dry food. Tried all raw, tried expensive dry food. Found something they all do well on and have stuck to it.

a turkey leg is a meal for one of my nearly 40 kilo greyhounds, way too much for a whippet.
-
depends on whether you work or not. At that age mine would get either 3 or 4 meals a day. I would often given them a chicken wing to munch on when settling down for the night, not sure if that counts as a meal.

love the description

if the tail keeps bleeding you will need to take Gus to the vet for a check up to make sure it is still clean and not becoming infected. You can check for yourself if you can keep his tail still enough for long enough to get a good look yourself. :D

me too
