I got writers cramp and had to have a DOL break I am trying hard not to have a secretary's whinge but really, some people, who should know better, arghhhhh

all out in the back yard if gone longer than an hour or so, 2 loose, 2 in the dog run (separated). If I am only gone for a short time the configuration could be anything inside, outside, some in, some out, some behind baby gates, one in the crate or all loose in the house. Depends on how I am feeling, how the dogs are behaving and the weather!

Fern's experience was not minor, won't do it again on her. What happened with Fern Rebanne? The incision was huge, as big as her subsequent c-section one, she reacted badly to something, the sutures or the antiseptic, and she was red raw until the stitches came out, lost huge amount of weight, she just didn't do well. Once the stitches were out she bounced back. When she had her c-section, different vet, there was no reaction at all. Could have happened after any surgery but it will be TC from now on, if needed.

Monash does them and I understand that the conception rates are the same as surgical if not better. I hope never to have to do another surgical AI ever.

I got home tonight to find my poor little letter box bulging at the seams

you do know greyhounds were around for thousands of years before an oval track with a mechanical lure were even thought off

I always got up twice over night for the first few days, then once, then none. I used to set the alarm. Doesn't take long, they are so much easier than a baby. Mine also went into their full size crates right from the start, didn't bother dividing it.

Hi Rebanne, I've been looking through Lew's newsletters and can't find anything like this. This was the closest :- "Mixing Kibble and Fresh Food Some people aren’t quite ready to go to home cooked or raw, but want to begin offering better quality foods with their commercial dog food. An easy start is to add fresh food to your dog’s commercial diet. Since dog food is already high in carbohydrates (for shelf life and inexpensive ingredients) I suggest only adding animal proteins and fat to commercial foods . You may feed up to 50% of the diet in fresh food without needing to add calcium. These foods can include meat (cooked or raw), eggs, plain yogurt or cottage and canned fish, such as mackerel, salmon or sardines. You may also feed raw meaty bones, but when starting, feed these separate in one meal, away from dry dog food. It is thought that these foods (raw bones and kibble) may compete for digestion in the gastric juices in the stomach. However, you can add any of the above foods in the first paragraph with kibble." http://www.b-naturals.com/newsletter/feedi...-december-2009/ Dry food would make up less than half of my dogs' diet so I don't think I need to worry. Most of my dealings with Lew have been through the CanineCancer list. I have been very impressed that someone who makes money through writing articles (and now a book ) and sells products and supplements was prepared to give so much advice and answer questions free of charge. Perhaps she is more involved with the cancer group. I know I asked a lot of questions when Ruff was first diagnosed and always got a reply. it was on her email list/group not an actual newsletter in answer to a question I had

whats the web address for this site? Google is taking me to a site under construction. I had a look last night on the desk top but am currently on the lap top.

did you read the article he just wants to say hi that was posted for you?

good luck, fingers crossed

well that's what I argued, no way people would be writing out hundreds of entry forms, maybe next year
-
I was told it creates a lot of work for the show secretary, they have to write out all the entry forms and address the return envelopes etc. I can't see any way around the addressing of the envelopes but would love to know if there is a way to get a suitable print out of entries so they don't have to be hand written. OVCC had it last year but not this year cause of those problems and as I am show secretary this year I am glad even though I use Ozentries myself.

Rebanne replied to Dxenion's topic in General Dog Discussion

set your alarm to get up at least twice a night for the first few days so you can toilet puppy before he gets upset. have a ticking clock if possible. Leave towel or similar with breeder for a couple of days so it's well scented. Big cuddly teddy bear
