  1. Power hungry, believe they know it all instructors - are the reason I no longer go to obedience clubs, I'm yet to find a club that doesn't have these types teaching
  2. I too would be interested :D edited to add: I know you do need someone to lay the track for you should be able to bribe someone ....
  3. If the diarrhoea is quite bad, ask your vet for some scourban to ease the tummy
  4. I would be adding a fish oil to the diet, either in capsule form or perhaps try a can or two of sardines a week. Medicated shampoos will only alleviate the symptoms not cure the condition
  5. I recently had blood taken and sent to the US for testing (against 100 allergens, as cause unknown) at the figure of $450 - and this is at special price with my vet. You should be able to get it cheaper as you know what your looking at (ie food allergens only)
  6. All our dogs BARF mix is weighed into their individual portions, bagged and marked with their name letter. We've weighed the bones but nowadays we know the average weight for each bone (eg, wing neck carcass etc) and can give them out accordingly, so yes we weigh out our dogs meals for each dog.
  7. I know of another person interested, and maybe able to russle up a couple more - what are the numbers at the moment Veanna ?
  8. Glucosamine/Chondroitin/MSM supplements would be benefical. Devils Claw Root powder is also a potent painkiller, used only on worse days and not to be used as an everyday supplement. Also there are vets surgically applying acupuncture needles, which I've seen to have a very good positive effect on HD sufferers.
  9. I would love too !! (as K9Force knows, I've been hounding for a couple of years now but aren't organised enough myself to organise one successfully  )
  10. I'm so sorry to hear about your loss Is it possible that he reacted to the vaccination ?
  11. I thought it was no longer legal to exercise your dog from your bike on public roads ?
  12. This is my concern also. The tapeworm problem exists in roo, cows, pigs and sheep which is why I buy human grade.
  13. We feed roo, but we buy human grade certified from the butcher. I would love to find somewhere to get rabbit at a good price too but also human grade. The problem with catching or buying these meats from pet stores is the problem with disease, preparation of the meat and the effect this may have on your dogs.
  14. Yep right person She's going great, and growing up unfortunately only physically at the moment still as dumb as a door post A DOL meet featuring your new baby is definately a must ;)
  15. Veanna your welcome to come round and bath/dry your dog at our house then I can cuddle that gorgeous white shepherd ;)
  16. Is there any reason why you intend to keep a puppy from the litter ? I'm sure you have your hands full with your 2yo and newborn. I would be desexing the dam as well, I also agree with Showdog in regards to the disabled dog - also probably would be best to consult your vet about the type of life she would lead or would it be best to pts.
  17. Tegz - I agree with T-time, I try to soothe the area and get bloodwork done, also don't rule out the wandering dew best to get rid of it.
  18. Agree with Russaird anything new (ie. fresh weeds growing through) or flowering ? What about her bedding ?
  19. I found breaking the meal into two (morning and night) is beneficial, esp. for dogs the weight issues edit: the = with
  20. This dog needs veterinary attention immediately Please take him to the vet now
  21. FAWKNER PARK ST KILDA RD,TOORAK RD, FAWKNER PARK (onlead and offlead areas) GOSCH'S PADDOCK PUNT RD AND SWAN ST, MELBOURNE (offlead area except on oval) J.J HOLLAND PARK KENSINGTON RD, MELBOURNE, VIC (Dogs may be exercised off leash in all areas of this park, except for some small areas such as near Altona St and Ormand St, look out for signs.) PRINCESS PARK ROYAL PARADE, PARK ST, BOWEN CRES,, MELBOURNE
  22. We remove our puppies dew claws, prevents any injury later on in life - I seen some really painful sights with dogs that have caught them on something and torn them out halfway. It's a relatively easy procedure for the vet to do under GA, they heal quite easily and don't grow back.
  23. Bowen therapy - sort of a massage/exercises done to strengthen the body
