  5. I'd like to know too, so I can rub their noses in it. I'd never do that to a dog, but whoever does this deserves it. Hard to believe this dear little angel would eat something so disgusting. ;) I was a big meanie to her because she kept coming up to me once we got home and breathing her sh!tty breath on me, plus I was worried she'd sick it all up in the house so I purged her with Lectric. Even then she and Puck tried to gobble it all up again. That Feather is a naughty girl
  6. You just know ;) I dont know which of these I feel, a bit of all three. For some weird reason dogs view human poo as a real prize. I can tell what they're up to simply by the way they gulp it down. Okay, so which dog/s ate it???? Need to know basis lol........
  7. Yeah!! This was posted a few days ago, they were $24.95 for all sizes then. I wonder why the price has gone up!? Previous Thread Link
  8. I've been searching my computer for this fact sheet for ages and I finally found it. Don't know if anyone can use these ideas but thought I'd post anyway. Be interested to know if someone's had success with any of these remedies... Home Remedies - Volume 1 Drinking two glasses of Gatorade can relieve headache pain almost immediately -- without the unpleasant side effects caused by traditional "pain relievers.” Did you know that Colgate Toothpaste makes an excellent salve for burns? Before you head to the drugstore for a high-priced inhaler filled with mysterious chemicals, try chewing on a couple of curiously strong Altoid Peppermints. They'll clear up your stuffed nose. Achy muscles from a bout of the flu? Mix 1 Tablespoon of Horseradish in a cup of Olive Oil. Let the mixture sit for 30 minutes, then apply it as a massage oil, for instant relief for aching muscles. Sore Throat? Just mix 1/4 cup of vinegar with 1/4 cup of honey and take 1tablespoon six times a day. The vinegar kills the bacteria. Cure urinary tract infections with Alka-Seltzer. Just dissolve two tablets in a glass of water and drink it at the onset of the symptoms. Alka-Seltzer begins eliminating urinary tract infections almost instantly -- even though the product was never been advertised for this use. Eliminate puffiness under your eyes... All you need is a dab of Preparation H carefully rubbed into the skin, avoiding the eyes. The Hemorrhoid ointment acts as a vasoconstrictor, relieving the swelling instantly. Honey remedy for skin blemishes... Cover the blemish with a dab of honey and place a Band-Aid over it. Honey kills the bacteria, keeps the skin sterile, and speeds healing. Works overnight. Listerine therapy for toenail fungus... Get rid of unsightly toenail fungus by soaking your toes in Listerine mouthwash. The powerful antiseptic leaves your toenails looking healthy again. Easy eyeglass protection... To prevent the screws in eyeglasses from loosening, apply a small drop of Clear Nail Polish to the threads of the screws before tightening them. Coca-Cola Cure for rust... Forget those expensive rust removers. Just saturate an abrasive sponge with Coca Cola and scrub the rust stain. The phosphoric acid in the coke is what gets the job done. Cleaning liquid that doubles as bug killer... If menacing bees, wasps, hornets, or yellow jackets get in your home and you can't find the insecticide, try a spray of Formula 409. Insects drop to the ground instantly. Smart splinter remover... just pour a drop of Elmer's Glue all over the splinter, let dry, and peel the dried glue off the skin. The splinter sticks to the dried glue. Hunt's Tomato Paste boil cure... cover the boil with Hunt's tomato paste as a compress. The acid from the tomatoes soothes the pain and brings the boil to a head. Balm for broken blisters... To disinfect a broken blister, dab on a few drops of Listerine... a powerful antiseptic. Heinz Vinegar to heal bruises... Soak a cotton ball in white vinegar and apply it to the bruise for 1 hour. The vinegar reduces the blueness and speeds up the healing process. Kill fleas instantly. Dawn Dish Washing Liquid does the trick. Add a few drops to your dog's bath and shampoo the animal thoroughly. Rinse well to avoid skin irritations. Good-bye fleas. Rainy day cure for dog odor... Next time your dog comes in from the rain, simply wipe down the animal with Bounce or any dryer sheet, instantly making your dog smell springtime fresh. Eliminate ear mites... All it takes is a few drops of Wesson Corn Oil in your cat's ear. Massage it in, and then clean with a cotton ball. Repeat daily for 3 days. The oil soothes the cat's skin, smothers the mites, and accelerates healing. Vaseline cure for hair balls... To prevent troublesome hairballs, apply a dollop of Vaseline petroleum jelly to your cat's nose. The cat will lick off the jelly, lubricating any hair in its stomach so it can pass easily through the digestive system. Quaker Oats for fast pain relief.... It's not for breakfast anymore! Mix 2 cups of Quaker Oats and 1 cup of water in a bowl and warm in the microwave for 1 minute, cool slightly, and apply the mixture to your hands for soothing relief from arthritis pain. If you send this to 15 people and only one of them doesn't know about this, then it was all worth it. You might not have saved a life but at least a little PAIN!!!
  9. Just too cute, I love ginger moggies!!
  10. What a gorgeous pooch Bully is, I hope he gets back to full health really soon.
  11. I just bought two for my girls before seeing this post lol. $24.95 fixed price for all sizes is pretty good!
  12. Well, I went to the fun day [this was my third time] with my little iggy, and she is absolutely NOT a sighthound at heart. She was more interested in looking around at the other people and dogs than anything else. Even my little min pin x chi was more interested in running after the lure, hilarious!!! I for one had a great day, the sausage sizzle and whippet goodies for sale we excellent, and we will definitely be going again. PS: I won three raffles too, woohoo!!!
  13. Geez, that's where I grew up, never thought I'd see the day that cane toads arrived there...
  14. No I don't think so, but as I said earlier, I'm no expert. I've had her for almost six weeks now and her tummy is still trim, taught and terrific. No swelling of tummy or teats that I can tell. Is it possible for them to be pregnant and not notice after six weeks. She was in the pound for at least a week to ten days before I got her out. Mmmm, now you've got me thinking.... If she was pregnant I wouldn't really mind too much, just hope that if that is the case that all goes well. I'm going to visit a friend on the weekend who knows a lot more about canine pregnancies than I do, so I'll get her to check Peanut out, and if in doubt, I'll be off to the vet next week. Thanks for your advice.
  15. Oh no greytmate, she is definitely here to stay. When I said rescued in the first post, in hindsight I probably should've said adopted. I know what bitches look like when in season but am not experienced enough to know whether when a bitch is in good health, if they come into season on a regular basis if undesexed. As I said, she is mostly inside and I have a well fenced/secure back yard. If we are out anywhere else, both dogs are always on-lead. How is it that some bitches may not come into season for up to 18 months? I am pretty sure Peanut hasn't had a litter before, well to my untrained eye it doesn't look like it, but then again, I guess it could be pretty hard to tell. Perhaps the best way is to wait and see.
  16. Too true, there is no reason why I can't wait a few months or so as she is mostly an indoor dog anyway and is not at risk of coming into contact with 'boys' lol. That's probably the most certain way to go [and cheapest] unless there may be a reason she doesn't come into season but isn't spayed. Is that possible? She is, as far as I know, a healthy weight, happy and has no medical problems that I am yet aware of.
  17. What to do? The little female min pin x chi dog I rescued from Blacktown Pound on 6/3/10 was listed on the pound site as not desexed. The NSW Companion Animals Register - Certificate of Identification I was given states that the desexed status is unknown. There is no ear tattoo either. Today I have finally found out that her microchip is registered with PetSafe. Whilst talking on the phone with the lady from PetSafe, I asked her whether the dog is listed as spayed or not. She says the dog is listed as desexed. Who do I believe? I was going to have her spayed soon but don't want her to have an unnecessary operation if the desexing is already done. How do you find out if a female is spayed or not if there is conflicting records and no tattoo. Is it just a waiting game to see if she comes into season within the next six months? She will be 2 years old in July. Any advice?
  18. So what's a zinc supplement, seaweed supplement and/or Norwegian Kelp Powder used for?
  19. Could I please ask when this order will be placed if it hasn't been placed already?
