Thanks Tassie :) It is scary and I still can't believe how he 'normal' he seemed on Thursday and how fast it hit him on Friday!

Thanks Rosie :) It's been confirmed as Immune-mediated hemolytic anemia but he has responded well today to the drip and steroids, and has brightened up considerably I realise it's very early days, but at least he is responding to treatment. He is to stay in overnight, and as much as I hate leaving him in an unattended place, it's best not to move him and mess about with the catheter etc. He's used to sleeping in a crate at night, so hopefully he stay settled ok. It's going to be quiet at home tonight without him and my OH is away until wed eve - so I'm left with crazy Daisy whom I'm very much a second best to after my OH!

Thanks everyone :) I'm finding it very hard to concentrate on anything at work, but there's no point me being at home when he isn't there anyway

WA healing vibes needed - Louis is very ill at the moment He was fine Thursday, ate his dinner and treats with his usually enthusiasm, but then refused to eat Friday morning and hasn't voluntarily eaten since. I got a can of hills a/d down him yesterday by gentle force feeding, but he is very lethargic and not moving off the sofa except to pee. He is back at the vets today, and it's looking like possible haemolytic anaemia - he has turned a bit jaundiced since bloods were tested on Saturday so more tests being run today. He is on a drip and may need a transfusion later. The vet has said he really is very poorly at the moment, so please cross your fingers for him. I don't understand how he's gone from bouncy normal Louis to this so quickly He's my little heart dog - don't know what I'll do if he doesn't pull through this

Risks Of Leaving Dog Coat On All Day?
CrazyCresties replied to MadWoofter's topic in General Dog Discussion
With a naked dog, it's pretty compulsory for him to have PJs on all day this time of year :) His are stretchy but close fitting, although he has got his leg through the neck a couple of times - like Kirislin I have no idea how he manages it  But sometime PJs are still not enough  -
I didn't upgrade to pro just for the space, it was mainly for the removal of the annoying adverts.

Blimey it looks like they are trying to make it look like 500px! Eta - that's going to confuse my parents, they've not long joined Flickr

Ok so this isn't a dog, but my Siamese cat started getting more and more vocal at night a couple of months back but seemed fine otherwise. After a couple of weeks of this we were taking it more seriously, had a bit of a read online and ended up getting a night light and a feliway diffuser (the DAP diffuser equivalent for cats). She was quiet from the first night we turned these on, however we also took her to the vets as she started to seem not herself and long story short, she ended up being diagnosed with pancreatitis and IBD. In hindsight the increased vocalization was really the first indication that she was uncomfortable and things weren't quiet right. Hope things settle down, but agree a vet check is probably sensible :)

These were just on my old photobucket page, I'll have a look through my pics on the PC this evening, I have a feeling I have got a full one somewhere :)

Either of these any good? You're welcome to use them if they are - I think I have some more at home and will have the originals of these too.
