  1. Cute little ladybird dogfan :) That's so cool hankdog! Would love to see that but could guarantee I'd have the wrong lens on  Loving those bugs MM, very nice Nice bee shots too tlc :) Finally got some bug shots with my new 100mm, I'm actually finding it trickier to use than my Tamron 60mm, but the quality is great when I get it right :) Un-welcome guest in some corn  Wasp! And of course some spiders :D This one was on my car wing mirror, hence the red  And an Indy shot :)
  2. Super shots as always, the buddies one is very cute :D
  3. Oh what a beautiful new baby gapvic So jealous of you getting foal snuffles and being able to stroke those velvety soft muzzles :D Donoso looks like he has a fabulous stride eta - really lovely photos too :)
  4. Sounds like you're off to a good start Piper :D I've just taken a few, hoping they will fit with the theme - however, I think 'frozen moments' is very open to interpretation as it's pretty much the definition of photography  How's everyone else getting on?
  5. Those look great I haven't tried night photography, too many pom loving mozzies near the river at night for me
  6. Fabulous photos so far guys gapvic - yours are outstanding Even if I had photoshop I wouldn't be able to do that, so much time and patience - well done :D Mine seem huge but I choose the original size link from Flickr that was 900 on the longest side - is that correct, should I make them smaller? eta - I've reduced the size down a bit for now.
  7. I got one just before christmas, the Yongnuo 568ex for $220. I have only played with it briefly so far, but remote wirless control works with my 7D as does the HSS :) If you look on POTN there is a lot of info with regards to the Yongnuo models. http://photography-on-the.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=35 I got mine from hypop and had prompt and excellent service from them :) http://www.hypop.com.au/yongnuo-yn-568ex-high-speed-sync-hss-flash-speedlite-for-canon.html
  8. This one  Glad you like them - next time hopefully it won't be getting dark and I'll have a bit more time to take some more :)
  9. The adorable Belle and Chewbacca came to dinner last night, along with mum Tibbie_tabbie :D All 4 dogs got along pretty well considering they are rescues 'with issues' Our OH's were also pretty good - considering we mostly talked dogs for 5hrs  I took a few quick shots of Belle and Chewbacca and they posed very nicely for me :) Full set here - http://flic.kr/s/aHsjDAh2HD :)
  10. Yay Snook :D Just off to edit mine now......
  11. Stunning! Love the first one especially with the shrimp hiding on the sea hare (?) lol, I thought it looked like it was thinking "Back away, back away, I might not have been spotted yet"
  12. Calamine sounds a good idea too - thanks Mim :) I took him to the vet last night and she doesn't think it is a hotspot as it isn't 'wet' at all. She thinks more likely a reaction to a bite or something that has irritated him. So I have some cream for him and just need to keep an eye on it for now. It looks a bit better this morning :)
  13. Many thanks Min for all the info :) It's no worse this morning and is pretty dry, so hopefully the betadine has helped - I have put a bit more on it this morning. I left his t-shirt off last night, but have put it on this morning as he was trying to scratch and his skin is so soft he can make a mess of it with scratching. It is a very thin, loose cotton t-shirt so hopefully that will be ok.
  14. Thanks Pers :) I do have betadine, I'll dab a little on it. I'm still a useless Brit when it comes to the heat and our aircon has been on so much recently, that I'm surprised he's had a chance to get too hot
  15. Louis has what looks like a hot spot developing on his back He's never had one before, but we have been having very hot and humid weather recently. It's just above his shoulder and he can just get to it with his back leg to scratch, so I'm tempted to put the smallest, lightest t-shirt I have for him on to help prevent him making it worse. Apart from that any other suggestions? I'll take him off to the vet if no improvement in a day or so.
  16. Love the little squid - so cute :D Hope your sunburn is ok
  17. Yeah being in WA might make it a bit tricky to catch up
  18. Sounds like you had a great time :) All beautiful shots, but I love the last 3 of Bruno the best - gorgeous :D
  19. That's exactly what I'm looking forward to, seeing all the different ideas :D I don't think mine is in anyway original, but it fits the theme in my head
  20. Well done kja :D Love the crab! And last but not least from me.... 52/52 - The Beautiful Zora
  21. No coat colour - just naked, pinkish-grey and at the moment, sweaty skin  How appealing is that
  22. Good job kja :D Like Piper I am unfortunately clueless with web type stuff  Also I have never done a blog, so do we just go to 'New Post' to upload our photos and then set a schedule?
  23. Very nice! Love the second Pygmy Marmoset one the best :D
