  1. I got a couple of these for my cresties and they are so comfy and adjustable, I highly recommend them :) http://dog-games-shop.co.uk/perfect-fit-fleece-dog-harness It looks like they ship overseas too (I got mine when I lived in the UK)
  2. Oh FM what a gorgeous addition to your clan Fab photos and can't wait to see more of him and your other guys :D
  3. Not yet, need to finish the golden retriever ones first, damn full time job getting in the way  Yup always switch to that mode for moving things - birds, surfers, hoverflies etc :) Seems like I'm a bit late to the BBF party
  4. Oh wow, I love bats and would be amazed to see a sight like that! Beautiful photos too Kirislin, love the mood you've captured in them :)
  5. A couple of weeks ago I thought I'd give back button focusing a try :) It took a bit of getting used to, but I really like it now. I love having the focus separate from the shutter, although more than a few times I'm focusing from the back and try to take the shot with the same button  A bit about it here - http://improvephotography.com/4552/back-button-focusing/ Also for the first time today I took a leap and used manual mode for most of the shoot I've always used AV 99% of the time, but today the exposure was tricky with a yellow lab,a choc lab and a black schnauzer all in the mix  So I thought bugger it, I'm sure by now I should be able to do this manually - and I did :D I was very pleased that I finally trusted my judgment enough, and the results were far better than letting the camera guess in that situation :)
  6. Ok, thank you very much everyone for the comments and advice :) I will go back to editing them now along with the 300 odd I took today of RubyStar's labs and her mum's mini schnauzer! I know what you mean about the green bit huga, and annoyingly once I uploaded them I also noticed she must have had a new collar on, as the pink dye has come off on her throat area where she had drooled - grrr
  7. Thanks for the advice :) I have a few with her eyes open in the first one, was interested to see what was thought of that 'pose'. I thought it looked like a happy smile, but I know some people like to see eyes in each one. I'll have a go at the highlights behind him in #2, I hadn't noticed that before but I see what you mean now it's been pointed out. I'll also have another play with the crop and see how it looks with more foreground. Cheers :D
  8. Not really constructive criticism  but thank you OsO No plans at the moment to head down your way, but I would like to :)
  9. I took some pics at the weekend for a friend and am just getting round to editing them. As usual I'm not sure of my results  They are 'just' for a friend, but I would like to do the best I can with them, so would appreciate any advice/critique you can give before I do too many of them :) I have just calibrated my editing monitor, but when I look at them on other screens, the greens in particular look less vibrant, so let me how they look to you. TIA :D
  10. Ah ok, thanks Kirislin, looks like Tag the giant enjoyed himself for sure :D
  11. Smashing photos and love his focus on you If you don't mind me asking, how come he hasn't had a try at it before?
  12. I'm sure they will love them, you've caught some lovely moments there :D
  13. Wow, how many tulips! Beautiful :D
  14. Love that last one Snook :D great photos!
  15. Lovely tlc and glad your camera isn't bust :D Really super shot of the fly
  16. gapvic - those little bird shots are just so pretty :D
  17. I haven't had to send a lens in for repair, but if Canon send to Malaysia then I would guess they trust them :)
  18. Beautiful! Just love that 3rd shot, the poppies, so pretty :)
  19. She's gorgeous gapvic and lovely shots of her :) Hope all your foaling goes nice and smoothly - foal pics are compulsory :D
  20. Enjoying all the Bee shots :D Love that second one gapvic :) Oh my PC, I think you were close enough Very cool to see :D A couple of my fav Bee ones :)
  21. Beautiful gapvic, looks like your hard work is paying off, what a lovely spot :D The gardens are one of the things I really miss from the UK, especially here in Perth - not too much gardening here in the sand  This was one of the last places I went in the UK before moving over here, a stunning garden :) http://www.greatdixter.co.uk/garden/
  22. That is so gorgeous pers, love his face and Gertie hiding in the background :D
  23. Awesome $600 off again :D I've been very pleased with it. My screen did need calibrating though, it was too bright and too colour 'rich' if that makes sense :) One thing that confused me initially was I couldn't see the SSD drive as separate disk. I found out it isn't used for storage but as an SSD cache disk. After a couple of days of booting and loading LightRoom the increase in load times was clear. http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/Intel-Smart-Response-Technology-Explained/1292 I also got a USB 3 card reader and the import times now seem 10x faster than on my laptop :D
  24. No idea about a cheap place for PS I'm afraid, but what PC did you get in then end? :)
