Not a dig at you Kirislin, but I agree, we need to see the natural world in all it's gory beauty. Such pretty photos in here :D I think I've only intentionally done a backlit one once, the caterpillar below, but will give this challenge a go :) More side than backlit I think....?

And now the TV ones - I use AV 90% of the time, so good to get some practice with TV :) Taken with my 60mm Macro as that was on the camera at the time :laugh: And some Bees in Flight, fast little buggers :laugh:

Finally got a chance to edit some pics this weekend so thought I'd pop some in here :) The colour looks a bit dull in Flickr when I view them on my iPad - really time to get a decent pc and monitor for editing. My AV ones first - C&C welcome as always :)

Thanks kja :) lol, that was my reaction too, which is why I wondered if he was just trying to fob him off with something more profitable for the shop :laugh: On paper it looks like a decent enough camera, I may advise him to try and pursuade his OH to actually go and try them, but I think he wants it to be a surprise.....

A friend is buying a camera for his partner for his birthday and asked my advice. I pointed him in the direction of a 60D kit with the 18-135mm IS lens as his budget is ~ $1500. He went to the camera shop and the guy there recommended the Pentax K30 over the 60D as it "shoots faster". Now I don't have a clue about Pentax cameras, but the range of lenses and 3rd party lens options was one potential issue I though off. Just looking for some advice really He has his own business that keeps him very busy, but he is looking to get into photography as a hobby a bit more. Cheers :D

Oh Ness that sucks big time, poor kenz and poor you Yup she's a Powderpuff :D We just keep her clipped short due to foot chewing issues and the heat, so she just looks like a SWF :laugh:
