I might be tempted too if there will be a few of you around to 'occupy' Louis :) Is this the same beach we all met at last time Weasels?

Good timing gapvic as it just arrived today :D Loving it so far, but I'm still setting it all up at the moment - so much to transfer over! I got the top spec one of these in the end, but it had 25% off on the day I bought it. I have noticed they seem to be rotating the offers through the different spec machines, so keep your eyes open :) http://www.dell.com/au/p/xps-one-27-2710-aio/fs I haven't got LR up and running yet, hope to that tomorrow night and then I can really test it's performance. The 27" screen is gorgeous

I can't remember which lens you got in the end tlc, but with mine you can manually focus even when the lens is in autofocus mode, although to be honest I often get the focus by swaying back and forth very slightly

Good first shots tlc :D Getting used to the dof is the tricky part, you have to close down that apature  Like the 3rd one particularly.

Pretty Pers :) You have such cute birds up there Kristin, really lovely shot :)

Introducing Peaches & Beau
CrazyCresties replied to Perfumed Lillium's topic in General Dog Discussion
Cute little pups and I wish you all the best with them :) But you should seriously consider toilet training the pom as well, as others have said as soon as your spitz boy gets a whiff he will be peeing/marking inside too and you will soon get very peed off with that! If my hairless boy coped perfectly fine with going outside to pee in the middle of the Scottish winters with snow and ice on the ground for weeks at a time, then I'm sure your pom can cope with a bit of rain - she is not going to melt. Maybe get a coat to pop over her when it is raining? -
Snook your new 'botanical' ones are beautiful, love the tones and textures I want to stroke the fluffy plant  I love jumping spiders Pers, good capture as they are fast little buggers, but such little cuties :D

See now the above is why PS scares me  Beautiful photos everyone and I can see what the 'textures' add :)

Some gorgeous recent photos in here I had a go yesterday - too much blown out in the first two?
-
She is gorgous :) and look at the colour of her eyes, wow!
-
Thanks Snook, that was a cool little video :) He's so right about your own backyard - it's amazing what's there when you start looking! I don't have a proper flash, maybe the next investment. Occasionally I have tried my on board flash, but with some kitchen towel over the end of it held in place with an elastic band, that helps diffuse it a bit :)

I got mine from B&H, but I was getting another couple of lenses at the same time so it worked out the most reasonable at the time.

Thanks for the comments everyone :) The 60mm Tamron is designed for a crop sensor, but it does fit and work on a full frame, on Canons anyway, not sure about Nikon. Usefull review below. http://www.bobatkins.com/photography/reviews/tamron_60mm_f2_macro_review1.html

It's the Cocker I see in him that make me have a soft spot for him, I had to leave my working type cocker behind in the UK.....

I just looked at the price of PS Would PSE have many more tools than LR, I'm thinking about cloning and content aware stuff? I guess I could trial them and see, but if I go for PS it may have to wait a bit since I just ordered the PC :)
-
lol, aren't they all! He's such a lovely looking boy Pers :)
-
Thanks tlc :) Yup I love my little Tamron :D And make cats look super evil  Thank you You're welcome to a copy if you really do want it :) I've just remembered I have to find a pic for that 1m canvas - this might be a candidate!

kja - Love those dragonflies :D tlc - The 5th one is really pretty and interesting :) I haven't really used my 17-70 for macro stuff, I'll maybe try this weekend and see what it can do. You'll find if you get a dedicated macro that you'll see a whole new minature world out there :D Here are just a few more I haven't put in here yet :) Looking Out by HairlessHounds, on Flickr Juvenile Praying Mantis by HairlessHounds, on Flickr

I know it's not an iMac, and I have lusted after one for a while, but Apple are taking so long with news of an updated iMac that I gave up and stuck with Windows. Apparently it doesn't come with much bloatware, but as an IT techie I will strip it down to the essential software and services anyway, so this pc should fly :D Might think about getting PS too, just have LR at the moment, but wonder if it's worth getting PS for cloning etc?
-
That's so cool to see :) I can just imagine how much work it took! It's amazing it is all just done with a click of a mouse now instead.

Chinese Crested :D Mine are equally happy enjoying a 2hr bush walk or sleeping on the sofa all day. No moulting, and mine are pretty quiet most of the time, not a yappy breed.

After dithering for a while I have just taken the plunge and purchased one of these spurred on by the $625 off deal I just spotted that runs out tonight! Can't wait to get it now and start editing on such a huge luscious screen instead of my 15" laptop :D Main Specs for those fellow nerds :) It's a beast that will eat RAW files for breakfast and spit them out again so fast  Processor 3rd gen Intel® Core™ i7-3770S processor (3.10 GHz with Turbo Boost 2.0 up to 3.90 GHz) Memory 8GB DDR3 SO-DIMM AT 1600MHZ-2x4GB Monitor 27" QHD (2560x1440) Video Card NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 640M 2GB DDR5 Hard Drive 3.5" 2TB 7200RPM SATA + 32GB mSATA SSD(SRT)Memory Video Card NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 640M 2GB DDR5
