  2. lol, it is super cute  and crazy wide shots! Is it waterproof, just wondered going by a couple of the pics on the site? Looking forward to seeing yours and Snook's photos :)
  3. If you're looking for subject isolation and great bokeh, just go macro
  4. 21 Sounds like you had a lovely day, belated birthday wishes to you, and to MG too btw I still need to respond to your last email RS, sorry completely forgot!
  5. Raineth - gorgeous eye on your pooch! In Lightroom you can do some basic spot removal/cloning, not to the extent of PS but it can work well if you play with it a bit :) http://xposurepro.com/lightroom/lightroom-tutorials/spot-healing-in-lightroom-4
  6. Whereabouts in Osborne park is it? And do they sell animals as I won't go there if they do. have a great time you two, best of luck Ness so sorry to hear you're still having issues with Kenz, I really hope you get a good result in the end with her
  7. Really nice Vickie :D I've got a similar idea in my head too, but just waiting for the cat to comply  Great shots all :) I'm hopefully having a bit of a bush walk with my two this weekend, so will get some shutter priority practice in, and maybe even some in AV mode if anyone stays still enough for a portrait

  12. Thanks everyone :D Cheers tlc :) These were all taken with my new Sigma f2.8 70-200mm. The Lemur and Gibbon are heavy crops as they were on islands in the middle of a lake, so I was pretty pleased with the quality from this lens :) I do have the Sigma 17-70mm as well and find it a very versatile lens. kja - thanks for the tip, I pretty much suck at B&W so use presets and tweek. I've said before I need to start a thread in the Hints section about B&W advice - I'll try and do that tonight as I'm not improving
  13. Took myself of to Perth Zoo on Friday while waiting for my car to be serviced. Had a relaxing few hours wandering around and took a few pics. C&C welcome :) Highlights were the African Painted Dog puppies, the Meerkats and the Tree Kangaroos :D Full set here :) http://flic.kr/s/aHsjAZHp9C
  14. Yay congrats tlc :D Funny enough the shutter noise was the first thing I noticed too, especially after my 350D - I thought it sounded like an machine gun in burst mode  but soon got use to it :)
  15. How about Natures Gift if thinking of tinned. I gave it to mine (who were used to a totally raw diet) when they were in quarantine, they did very well on it for the 30 days, I still have it as a back up for when I forget to defrost. http://www.naturesgift.com.au/ Poor boy, hope he feels better soon
  16. My regular is Claremont Vet Clinic and I have found their service to be wonderful :) Of course if it is a real emergency or out of hours, you have Perth Vet Emergency on your doorstop in Osbourne Park. They saved my Daisy's life after a very serious chocolate poisoning http://www.pve.net.au/services.html
  17. I'm not familiar with that camera I'm afraid, but the best thing you can do is to go out and play with it - change the settings and see how that is reflected in your pics :D That's the beauty of digital, nothing wasted except your time :) I look forward to seeing some photos :D
