  1. I have no idea ( so correct away), but being a terrier, wouldn't the Boston be more energetic? Pugs shed heaps i have heard. I like Frenchie's :D
  2. Another vote for Regal hounds, i bought a gorgeous martingale for my dally I would love a nice leather martingale for my bully, but i wouldn't spend that sort of money without trying the style's first, so many look too wide or thin, or wrong colour etc when they are on.
  3. would they like an 18 month old kelpiex koolie? male all vet work done. :)
  4. Yes, you need a sample, and it needs to be fresh. Wait till he starts to go, then slide a big flat container under him, before he realise's you will have got enough. :)
  5. My bully was 3 when i adopted her from her breeder, i hated her name too, as i had a client called "jazz". I just picked a name i liked. :)
  6. Wasn't expecting it to get past Pendleton, so well done!!!!! Anyone there last night to tell us how it went, was there alot of opposition?
  7. A guy around here lost his JRT at new year, they would drive around stopping anyone they saw walking dogs with flyers, its amazing how dog owners all know each other, might be worth a try?
  8. My fave seems to be most people's least, the Bull Terrier. Least would be the Sharpei, never met a nice one, and anything small fluffy and yappy
  9. Bull Terrier Cattle dog Greyhound Staghound :)
  10. Thats what concerned me too, he is a goofy young submissive lab. There seem to be a few out that way, so will ask her the name.
  11. Sorry, she couldn't remember, they board the dogs while they do whichever type of traing you pick. They also sell trained dogs. Her uncle bought a GSD from there.
  12. I have had a client in this morning telling me they are thinking of sending their dog away to kennels at Richmond that do training for you. She has asked me if i know anything about them, they do guard, protection, obedience etc. pm if prefer :)
  13. The joys have having most of my family there who come here often too,
  14. I have at least 6 oodles close to me, all different colours and sizes, common thing with everyone, they are nutters!! one lady said her dog is 6 and is still crazy, they charge around like they are on speed
  15. I found the Snugglesafe's on Amazon for $27, so going to give them a try for outside kennels and inside they are a bit small though.
  16. Actually a pattern would be good, my mum made my BT a fleece coat when she came over as she is handy, she used her old one as a template, so sure she could whip one up with a pattern :) Chillydogs would be out of their price range, i had one once, way too big even though i gave measurements.
  17. My brother in the USA has just sent me an email to say he adopted a retired greyhound ( Rodney Red is his name) It gets very cold in Atlanta in winter and snows, he is a house dog, but i said he would need a nice warm coat too. He has asked where to get one, can you buy them off the rack so to speak, or does anyone here make them? I would love to send him one( its summer there atm ,so no hurry). :)
  18. i have a fleece coat on my dally at night inside too snook. i like the look of the one like a bed, but 12cm, surely thats wrong?
  19. i like the look of those snook too, but that does seem very small?
  20. Would the sight of the dog do the trick? Could you leave the dog with him overnight? When i lived in a remote area, i used to answer the door holding onto my dogs collar, they soon baked up when they saw her.
  21. Hi Pitchick, good to hear from you, i miss pics of your gang :)
  22. My dally is 12/13 and has arthritus in his hips, so he comes in after tea and lays infront of the heater. When i go to bed he goes to his bed and i put on his fleece coat, but the heating goes off. My other 2 are outside in coats, in kennels on pallets with lots of fleece bedding, all undercover completley. My cattle x has a long coat, so i often see him just snuggled on the tramp bed which has deep bedding on too, instead of in a kennel ,so don't think he is cold, he runs from his coat too, and its often in the middle of the garden in the morning  They all feel warm in the morning, and they have light day coats if its cold during the day too.
  23. They look really good, not very big though, i would need at least a couple for a dally i would think? I was thinking they would be good for the other 2 who live outside in their kennel aswell. Can you get them in shops over here, or just mail order?
  24. I am thinking of buying a heat pad for my dally for inside at night, but need advice on which ones are good. I assume they stay plugged in all night, so need to make sure he doesn't get caught in the cable. He sleeps in a dog bed with lots of bedding and a coat on ,but i turn the gas heater off at night downstairs before i go to bed, so wanted something to keep him snug. Can anyone offer tips advice on which ones are good, and how best to use them? :)
