I would take her to another Vet/Specialist ASAP. I know you say you have taken her to several Vets already but there is clearly something very wrong if she is vomiting & seizuring on a regular basis. She obviously is suffering. There has to be a medical reason for this abnormal behaviour. I would not give up until I got answers. Why do you think the breeder was so defensive about it? That's pretty poor if they breed the dog & they just don't care??? Sorry this is happening. Poor little puppy, he must be feeling so poorly Must be extremely worrying for you.

I would be taking him to the Vet first has Nekhbet suggested. He is knuckling over very badly in the photo you have provided. Have you contacted his breeder regarding this issue? I would be doing that if you haven't already. I haven't had much to do with problem but my son has a Dogue /Mastiff & I remember he had to be very careful that this didn't occur with her. She is a very big girl. Knuckling over usually can be corrected by diet. Personally I wouldn't feed my puppy Supercoat. I think there are far more nutritious dry foods on the market. I would be feeding mostly raw & maybe some dry in the morning perhaps. That's just me. There are quite a few fellow Dolers that are very experienced with these type of issues so hopefully they may be able to help you.

Hi, I have a Lazor RX. It's a fabulous high velocity dryer. I have had mine for about 5 years now. Dries both my BC'S really quickly & efficiently. Heating & cooling settings. Very reliable . Now at $199 a great buy. Highly recommend them ☺ I should add I don't show my guys but my dryer gets a fair workout as my 2 swim daily.

Yes they are definitely heart stealers the speshul ones... When I first got Stella I was feeling very guilty because she is the first puppy I have had that I didn't bond with straight away. I'm not even sure I actually liked her. She was a very different girl. And very difficult. She was nervy, sad & cranky. I'd only ever had happy, calm puppies. She didn't want a bar of me. She tried to bite me when I feed her. She'd growl & show her baby teeth with a lip curl on occasion. when I was cleaning the backyard, she wait till I wasn't looking then come running flat out at me & jump on me trying to bite my face. She was a real little shocker. After a while I began to get to know her. It wasn't easy & neither was she. She had her guard up for quite a while. But I wasn't giving up. I have given her more emotionally than I knew I had. I spend more time with her than I ever dreamed I would too. Must admit it is paying off now. She'll be 5 this year. I've just got her in a good place mentally now where I can start to do a bit more with her training wise. She is a very intense girl. As quirky as they come too. Fiercely loyal & extremely smart/fast. I love her to bits. Never thought I'd say that though. Such a sweet girl As for my "normal" boy. Sonny is Mr. Easy. He is just so simple to handle. He is very predicable, never caused me a minutes trouble. He is natures gentleman. And he thinks I'm the best thing since sliced bread  I adore him. He is so funny when Stella's plays up at times he will run over to her, give her a little nip on the back & a growl. Then looks up at me like Stella being norty again mum but I told her off for you  -
Just wanted to add I don't let our guys sleep outside overnight. Too easy for someone to take them. Especially camping. I wouldn't get a winks sleep anyway unless my guys were with me They sleep in our caravan on their Snooza Cuddler beds. Those Purina dog beds are set up in the annex for their arvo nanna naps if they are tired from our boating adventures in the morning :D

I brought both my BC'S Purina Pet life raised round collapsible dog beds. They are terrific. Best beds ever for camping. We caravan quite a bit so ours get plenty of use. Both my guys love them. They keep them off the cold ground in winter (they are an elevated stretcher bed) & they are very comfy in summer. We put them up in our annex. Easy to pack as they fold up & they come with there on travel bag. They are relatively light weight which is a bonus when travelling & very easy to keep clean with a quick wipe over. Great beds. Highly recommend them ☺

BC Crazy replied to polarbearbear's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
Gosh its the only time I wish I lived in Melbourne when I here of experienced, dedicated trainers like this perse. I'd give anything to have access to a trainer of their calliper primarily for one on one training then hopefully agility /obedience classes. I am so keen to find a weekly trainer in my area. Unfortunately no luck so far. Sorry don't mean to detail your thread PBB You live in a great dog trainer part of the world LOL -

All paws crossed for gorgeous miss cheeky. Sure does sound promising ☺ -
Kirty, what very tricky/difficult situation you have got yourself into only because you were kind enough to mind your friends dog Very pleased your daughter is OK. I agree with others. You have to tell your friend. What the solution to this problem, I don't know apart from getting help from a credited Vet/Behaviorist which is very difficult if cash strapped.

If they are being judged tomorrow I would go then ☺

Exercising Reactive Dogs Thread
BC Crazy replied to megan_'s topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
Thank goodness  Both my guys are the same. Not really interested in other dogs. Sonny is rather snobbish actually. Looks down his nose at most. And Stella is rarely interested & I'm glad cause it usually is for all the wrong reasons... -

She is the instructor JulesP. Gosh. That is strange reaction coming from an instructor IMO. I'm surprised. And your right. There is loads of reasons why you may want them to meet or not. That is your call. Your dog. Geez may be interesting classes with this instructor. I'm very fussy who approaches my dog's. My dogs my rules. 99% of the time I say no nicely . I usually get a funny look or a huffy mumble back at me though. Doesn't bother me. I don't see the need. They don't have to engage with every dog we see. -

I have tried to cut back Stella's Prozac on occasion with a very noticeable reactive down hill slide. I would never of believed it actually. Very blatant difference. -

Yes hankdog. I believe Prozac is helping Stella. Definitely. I wasn't sure at first but persisted with 20mg daily. I have been able to reduce her Xanax from 1.5 mg, 3 times a day to 1mg, twice a day. Very pleased about that. Of course we do still have our moments when my girl well & truly has a melt down then I give her a little more Xanax to take the edge off... I find with Prozac she is able to bounce back from a scary noise or reactive moment a lot quicker. She also is less reactive & noticeably calmer. -
I have retired now but have owned BC's all my adult working life of all ages & types. Working dogs, rescues etc. I always worked shift work,6 days a week, between 10 to 15 hours daily. I was starting work at 5am so up at 4am. Never had an issues. My dogs had a routine of organised kaos but they were always loved to bits, exercised, feed & had some training up to basic obedience. They never knew when any of this was going to happen but it always happen on a daily basis☺

I have tried but am only getting last years, 2014. I got invited to go by a friend who is showing her bitch in Aus bred but am unable to drive long distance at the moment So thought this would be the next best thing. TIA :)
