Another vote for Bagnall Beach & I'm there every day as well. Just watch out for the Ranger if you venture to any other beach e.t.c. off leash because he doesn't give you any verbal warnings, it's a $300 on the spot fine. I know quite a few people who have been stung. Don't mean to be a party pooper  just didn't want you to end up having a VERY expensive w.end away because you didn't know about him. Have fun & if you see a female with 2 of the most beautiful Border Collies you have ever seen in your life ( & yes I am very bias) :p come & say Hi :)

Yes, there are some really good pet shops out there - ones that don't sell live animals. Any pet store that sells live animals is as evil as we make out because they cannot know all they need to know to make an informed decision about the homes those puppies are going to. Inappropriate home choices lead to problem behaviours and dogs ending up in pounds. Any breeder who would put the future home choice of any puppy they bred in the hands of shop assistants is irresponsible, unethical and quite frankly, an idiot. Individual breeds have individual needs. Individual lines within breeds have special needs. I'm yet to meet anyone who works in a pet shop who knows the needs of EVERY breed out there and knows the lines of every dog they sell so that they can choose an appropriate home. +1. Couldn't agree more Shell. Very well said. The only pet store I will enter is a living animal free one :)

Concerns About Other Persons 'playing' Style With My Staffy Pu
BC Crazy replied to staffyowner1971's topic in Puppy Chat
I had this very same problem many years ago with my dear dad. I don't know why but he insisted on ruffing up my BC puppy I owned at the time. Just really annoyed me as I never let them even mouth me or touch me with their mouths let alone ruff them up. Just not necessary IMHO. I asked him not to do it, fell on deaf ears so I ended up just not letting him near her when he called around to visit. He thought I was being a drama queen & you know, "it's just a game" but it's my dog, my rules. End of story. No if's or but's. -
Very distressing & extremely sad The whole situation. I too agree that I'd rather see any of those poor dogs pts than continue to "exist" in such deplorable conditions. As for the fines placed on these pathetic people running this hell hole, they are a joke as is allowing them to own anything with a heartbeat EVER again. They should be jailed IMHO. And that's too good fort them Some of those poor dogs, that black Lab that just went into some kind of emotional shut down with the thought of human contact. The little poodle with no eye's. All the dear old girls that had been bred almost to death. Just heart breaking Nice to have a lovely group of people come forward to foster & help out. I did have a heart warming moment to witness the wonderful change in those that were fortunate enough to receive the love & tlc they so rightly deserve.

In Battling The Cruel Face Of Animal Abuse We
BC Crazy replied to ❤LovesPoodles❤'s topic in Dog Cruelty and Abuse News
Moses was just too good for this place & now has finally found a more peaceful place to rest. Poor boy Never ceases to amaze me just how down right cruel people can me. No wonder I am liking most people less & animals much more. And they say we are suppose to be the 'superior' ones. I think NOT. R.I.P Moses & run free boy Many thanks to Wendy Hilchner for trying so very hard to help this poor fella. Your a gem -
This whole ordeal is so very hard for us adults to come to terms with let alone an 8 year old little girl My heart goes out to her & all of your family Owey in this terribly sad situation. I think the whole writing thing is an awesome idea. If nothing else it is very good therapy for her & may help process this very sad moment in her young life.

Best Clippers For Fuzzy Feet?
BC Crazy replied to PuddleDuck's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
What are you using clippers for on a BC? Any trimming needed should can easily be done with scissors. Dancinbcs, I use the clippers to trim the bottom of their feet, the soles around their pads as I find I am more confident with them than scissors & quicker. I use scissors for the top part & to trim up to their stopper. I like to keep their feet really neat as it makes it easier to spot ticks e.t.c. Should I not use them Dancinbcs? -
I have a Lazor RX dryer & find it really good. I have 2 Border Collies, long coated & it dries them in no time. Very power, I was surprised just how powerful it is. It's great for getting any loose hair or sand out of their coat as well. Has 2 heat setting & a cool setting. Highly recommend them

Can I Ask For Some Prayers For My Furbaby?
BC Crazy replied to esky's topic in General Dog Discussion
So sorry for your loss of Penny Esky. At least she got to come home, in familiar territory & very comfortable. Funny you should say that Penny 'looked at you differently' as my heart dog did the very same thing before his passing. And they say dogs can't talk. R.I.P. Penny, run free girl -

WOW Smartypaws, you are very lucky to have access to a leash free alone & good on you for seeking that out. I so wish we had a facility in our area :) -
I always hide any medication inside a raw roo mince ball, don't seem to notice it & straight down the hatch :)
-
We have a "no running in the house" rule in our house because it used to be a free for all when we first got Stella. Sonny would chase her around the house playing. So its "outside to play" & we have suffered minimal damage since we have implimented this :)
-
I had both my BC's desexed at 6 months of age. As recommended by both their breeders & my Vet with no problems what so ever. Both recovered well & matured beautifully :)
-
Sorry of no help to you apart from support, thinking of you at this very difficult time & truly hope someone can help you very quickly as it is so urgent
-
Surely this would be the very least this Byber could do is refund your purchase price you paid for Bailey & all the Vet bills after what you & your family have been through. He should be responsible for the consequences of his own actions as he chooses NOT to have all relevant health checks done on his dogs & continues to breed them & $$$ from this. It's the price he pays, not you. If he has a heart that is ?? Unfortunately though most of these Byber's are all about the $$$. I so hope I am wrong for your sake Owey.

I pretty much have always had haardwood floors, just love them even though they do scratch. I think they are a much more healthy option than carpet & warmer than tiles. I don't like tiles because I am a clean freak & end up having to always be at the grout with a toothbrush to keep it clean I only like carpet in the bedrooms. I have found wooden floors are by far the easiest to keep clean & I have found the trick to camouflaging any scratches that may occur is when they are varnished after they are put down, choose a matt finished varnish not a high gloss finish. Much easier to maintain too as it doesn't show the dust etc as much :)
