  1. I was so hoping he would stay well until you got the test result and it is frustrating that this is happening in the middle of the testing being moved. Hopefully you will get a result soon so you know where you are at. Sadly the re-occurence is again so typical of TNS. I emailed the University and hopefully the results will be available by the end of the week. The 1st stage of testing is complete and they are working through the 2nd stage now. In reality though, it isn't going to change much, we are just going to know that his days are numbered. At the moment he seems to be rather miserable, and it is sooo hard to see him like this. If he hasn't improved by tomorrow, we will have to look at having him PTS. A wise decision I think, even if it is a heartbreaking one but it would be easier to make that decision if you had a definitive answer. Whatever is wrong, it is clearly something very serious and no puppy owner should be put through a nightmare like this at a time that should be so happy. I am so saddened to hear of Bailey's relapse. It's just not fair for such a beautiful little fellow to have to go through this, all because of some BYB who doesn't test for the know BC diseases before breeding. I hope you get the test results back before you have to make that terrible decision. Thinking of you & your family. Couldn't agree more Luvsdogs.
  2. Oh so sorry to hear Bailey has relapsed Such a terrible situation for your young family to go through especially when he appeared to be getting better. Very sad situation for poor little Bailey So very unfair for all concerned. At a loss for words really. I'm going to find the tissues
  3. Dog's never ceases to amaze. These poor dogs have been so badly treated & yet they are still very human friendly No wonder you are after coats, blankets & towels these dogs must be literally skin & bone. They would have nothing on them to keep them warm, poor mites Don't know anything about the breed, so they are a little bit bigger than a Border Collie or roughly the same. They sound similar in temp. to a working Border. With such intelligence being kept in cages with no human interaction would be worse than the ultimate torture So I send my coat, towels e.t.c. to the Vic. address ?
  4. Looking forward to it WoofnHoof :)
  5. Oh, great, thanks for clarifying that Aussienot.
  6. 7 kg OMG !! This story is just so very sad I truly hope these dogs can all find the loving homes they deserve. I will post off the coat, towels & anything else I can spare on my next trip to the P.O. if you could just PM me the address please.
  7. I've just taught my 2 to spin on cue as well & was wondering the exact same thing. Neither of mine do it without being asked.
  8. I have a brand new 60 cm weather betta type coat I would love to donate to one of these poor puppies but it would be to big wouldn't it ? I have got some towels that I send though. Will dig them out today.
  9. Poor Scout she would make someone a really good companion I feel. She looks like a lovely girl that just wants the love & attention she deserves.
  10. I'm with you TheCheekyMonster, totally agree. She is like a breath of fresh air when it comes to the majority of youth today. Lovely tribute video clip of her rescue too. Her dedication shone through beautifully.
  11. Awwww !!! Sister's cuddles Ris just beautiful.
  12. My girl is 18 months old & had always done this She will also roll in if givin half a chance, especially after she has been bathed  She doesn't like to smell pretty. I have tried pumpkin & pineapple but neither worked. Thought she might grow out of it but no such luck. I just am very vigilant about the backyard & pick it up ASAP, that is the only thing that works here unfortunately. Should see the look on my other BC's face when he has seen her do it, it's like EWWWWW yuk !!! Then he looks at me in total disgust
  13. Oh just come across very handsome & clever Chester. Beautiful red fella. He reminds me of my boy who went over the bridge 4 years ago now. Very similar face. Just gorgeous. Loved it & thanks for sharing. Gotta go & find the tissues, I am such a sook
  14. Top dogs.com.au is where I brought mine. I recently just sold mine as I can't ride my bike any more
  15. Ticks are still well & truly about so keep checking. I would be letting a Vet have a look at her I think. Sorry not much help.
  16. They do seem very dismissive about the whole thing, don't they? I am certainly not going to go into 'relax' mode just yet about my dogs & their security. But I never am as they are just to precious for me to take any such risks. If they were trying to scare the life out of me, "supposedly" all this took place so close to home, they succeeded.
  17. Yes Greymate, you are probably right there. Years ago we had a ACD, great dog but he always used to chew & carry rocks / boulders around in his mouth. His teeth were very worn down on one side of his jaw from doing this over many years. He died aged 17.5. I'd forgotten about 'natural causes' & things like that. Thanks for reminding me.
  18. In today's Newcastle Herald there is an article about this & it states that there is no proof to prove that there is any such 'dog fighting rings' or that dogs are being stolen from anywhere in our area for this vile purpose. Who know's. I am totally confused about the whole thing now You can only go by what you hear & read. What about the Staffy pup with the ground teeth? What about the white truck that's been trying to steal dogs out of backyards? Media hype perhaps?? I so hope so. Certainly leaves me wondering.
  19. So sorry for your loss KitKat. Sabre looked like such a sweet faced boy R.I.P.
  20. Your right about it being very stressful noisymina. I was very upset about it. There was no warning signs with Stella & she is extremely quick. Even caught the vet very much by surprise. She has been to the vets before without a hitch. She didn't 'love it' but didn't reach the emotional state that she was in on this particular day. I have been going to the same Vet for 17 years without an issue & I believe he is very good at what he does. On this day however he didn't engage Stella at all & I said to him she wasn't having a very good day & he began to feel her body & wham, she went for him So next time I am going to ask him to speak to her lots, engage her. Bed side manner is a must with her. She is not the type of dog you can rush or approach quickly if she doesn't know you. I had Stella on Troy's Behave a while back. ATM I am using Vetalogica Tranquil. I find they do help her settle. I have a Thunder Shirt & if she isn't already stressed before I put it on that helps as well a little. She is very highly strung & reactive by nature. She is still licking that spot on her leg a bit. I put some Filtabac antiseptic cream on it a short time ago. Hope that it was the right sort of thing to put on it. She is back to her happy self though, which is great. Am just trying to stop her licking because the spot is quite red ATM.
  21. His owners don't want him What the hell !!! If I had more room I would have him. He is so beautiful. What is wrong with people So glad they have raised enough for him to get his surgery Hope all goes well for him & his leg heals ok & he finds a kind, loving home he so deserves. Good luck Bear.
  22. Yes goldenluv isn't Karma just a wonder thing :D The trouble is they would probably winge the very first time someone looked sideways at them in jail & then they'd get put into protective custody, poor little didim's. Throw the b@#tards in with the main stream population I say. Let them 'sort' them out. We really do need an animal police type of thing here that purely deal with this sort of thing. That would free up our police too cause ATM IMO seems they are run off their feet & bogged down with all the paper work that goes along with every arrest.
