  1. Your just gorgeous Stan :D Leah, loved your poker playing guys. So good Lovely as always gapvic :)
  2. Can't say that our grain free tasty holistic smells of anything much really. I always put the dry dog food in an air tight bag to keep it fresh but definitely no odor to speak of. I too usually feed Canidae & it is a lot more wiffy than this. I feed 80% raw & both my guys like the Sunday pets.
  3. Wouldn't use it again here. Didn't agree with my male at all. Took me about 12 months to get his coat back to being healthy. I was using it for quite a few years but found when they went really big & changed the packaging the quality of the product went down hill IMHO. It is very true though. It's what ever your dog does best on. I find we do well on Cannidae Pure Sea or Earthborn Holistic. ATM we are trying that new Sundays pet holistic which seems to be going well thus far :)
  4. Happy 6th Birthday Lili .... Lovely photo of both of you. You both look so very happy :)
  5. Oh beautiful I adore Afghans. And your so right you rarely see them. Gorgeous :)
  6. Raineth, Stella is extremely sound sensitive. I have never seen a dog behave like her. Yet I have walked her past our local basket ball courts a million times, guys shooting hoops, Stella doesn't reactive at all. She looks but shows no signs of stress nor concern. Go figure... Does my head in trying to get a handle on her reactivity in all honesty Hankdog, how funny, you are probably right, trumpet will be next as long as it isn't the drums  I have no idea why Stel is so sound sensitive. Maybe she got a huge fright by something at a crucial time as a puppy. I just don't know but gosh I would love to. I'm like you, Why Stella, Why???? Jake is a very good boy with that Cockatiel HD. Stella would have snavelled that bird in 2 seconds flat. She is DA as well. But not all dogs just the odd one & it is so frustrating, isn't it? She can walk past 100 dogs & not bat an eye, then she will spot one & that's it. She wants to rip it's head off. ERRRR... I hate it as it is just so upsetting & random. She is much more DA on lead if the other dog is around her size, female & comes into our space, look out That's not random that's a definite. I also find she will reactive more if the other dog is timid. She seems to pick out the submissive ones. Yet she is such a sensitive, nervous soul herself but she acts like a real 'tuffy' at times. She is improving but it is a constant battle. This may sound unbelievable but it's true. Sometimes Stella will start to react to another dog & Sonny will nip Stella on the back , "you naughty girl, stop that" & sometimes she does stop. Then he will look at me, smiling, "I'm a good boy, aren't I". Too cute. Such a sensible fella :)
  7. Snook, yes I'm thinking what else I can do to mask loud noises. She is as perfectly behaved as you'll get a dog to be if there isn't a sound. She is just sooooo good. But we all know life just isn't that quiet all the time unfortunately. Raineth, If I bring Stella inside she is OK if I close the sliding door. If I leave it open, every time she hears that 'bang' of the ball on the back board, she races outside crying/whining & becomes very upset. Then races back inside again. So I usually bring her in & show her the door is shut & put the TV on with the volume up to drown out the noise. Then she just lays down in the lounge room, sucking on her stress toy. I never thought of taping it as you have suggested. Maybe worth a try. I did try one of those cd's with noise on it once. I could hardly hear it & she went berserk I know she sleeps a lot better know cause we have the radio on in their room, low volume all night. Works a treat to drown out any noise she might think she hears. She sleeps like a baby now. Such a fragile girl, my Stella.
  8. Simply Grand, yes apparently she is eating dry food without issue without it being dampened. Did pass on the hand feed suggestion & he is going to give it a go. Kirby seems to be going well. She went visiting yesterday again. Socializing with cats, chickens & a couple of dogs. All without issue. She really likes cats & wants to play with them. 2 hour car ride, she slept with her car travel leash on without a problem. She also seems to be calming down around food. Still in a big hurry but is improving. I've got Kirby minding duties Saturday week as my stepson & GF are off to a wedding....Should be interesting. Our house has stairs everywhere so will be blocking all those off. Not quite sure how my girl will go with this. Will take things very slowly I think. My male will be fine. Will set up crate in lounge & put her fav blanket in there so she feels safe. Wish me luck guys :D
  9. That's really annoying when they don't let you know before placing the order that they are out of stock. Especially when you are running low.
  10. Grey8t update !!! What a dear old fella Bob is :) 13 & still going strong. Thanks to you WP.
  11. SM & gretel, l also brought those dried mussels when I brought my bricketts as well from Natural Pet Store. I used them for ages. Excellent service & price. Also very helpful.. My guys love the mussels I gave them one on top of their morning Kong filled with roo meat. Hmm yum !!!
  12. Going well here as well. Only been almost a week but they are really liking it. My girl was a little 'stinker' at times the first 2 days but that has stopped now. Elimination is excellent thus far. I will wait a couple more weeks to see how their condition goes but so far so good :)
  13. The price isn't that great. I had a quick look and Pets Providore have them cheaper at $45. Oh ok then, thanks JulesP :)
  14. Sonny is a definite 60cm JulesP & SC. Big boy . He is quite long in body. I might remeasure Stella actually she may do be 55cm. Her present coat is 60cm but does hang a little over her hind quarters. I hope so as I would like to take advantage of the special.
  15. Oh just had a look at Crazysales but all too small
  16. Yes HD , she was going so well. I was blown away by just how good she could be. Never thought of a water feature. Water is very soothing. It would have to be a river to drown out this back board noise though. Its pretty loud. Keep that in mind though as it may help.
  17. Thanks HW. Appreciate it. Will pass this on with a bit more gusto I think. If nothing is done very soon I will buy suitable dry food myself.
  18. Cooper has healed really well :) He looks wonderful. Lovely to see him relaxing in front of that beautiful fire :) Terrific news Bianca!!!!
  19. It may be adjusting to the different taste of the food. At 6 weeks, she has barely been weaned to dry food. Is he feeding it to her sloppy? Frozen bones to slobber & munch will help. Should he be putting some water in it? Will text him as I dont know. Frozen bones will pass that on. Thanks.
  20. I did ask him HW & he said he is feeding her 5 times a day. Which is one to many but he's finishing off an adult bag of dry food. Hmmm to which I said he needs to get giant breed puppy & a good quality one a ASAP. I hope he does as asked. She sounds like shes really hungry to me.
  21. HW, apparently Kirby gets frantic at meal time. She seems to be extremely hungry. Stepson is trying to get her to be calmer & sit before he puts the bowl down but I suspect he is struggling a bit. I couldn't speak to him long he was at work. VM, she has been Vet checked & Kirby got a clean bill of health. I actually did say to him that he needs to firm but consistant. He did say kirby was the 'piggy' out of all the litter. Greedy little guts :)
  22. Thanks Ams for posting that. WOW the growth rate is unreal !!!!! That is exactly what Kirby looks like. She is a fawn colour though but her head & face shape is identical. She is extremely cute. My step son has just brought Kirby her first diamonte collar. Maybe he should have brought a saddle while he was there LOL. Apparently Kirby is getting a bit pushy around her food. She is ravenous pretty much all the time. Busy GROWING ... my guess.
