Oh just wanted to clarify. We camp on a property in at the foothills of a mountain range. When the sun goes down you cant see your hand in front of your face. I let my girl off leash to go to the loo as she wont go on lead sometimes. She doesn't run away as such but I cant see where she is at times. I have stood on her countless times as she tends to hang behind me. I just don't let my guys off leash any old where. Only right near our caravan. I wouldn't let them disturb other campers either. I never take risks with my dogs. They are just too precious... I've just ordered 2 clear collar lights off K9 Pro for both my guys. Will post an update after the June long w.end as we are going camping so will give them a trial run then.

Very impressive Husky. She certainly is a very focused girl. Great work I would love to be able to play like that with my guys

Best wishes & good luck for next Wednesday to you both. Be thinking of you & please keep us posted of Coop's progress. I'm sure he will bounce back, pain free in no time.

Thank you Persephone for your welcome ideas & links :) I have some informative reading to do. You are very creative weaving magic with a fan belt pers. I have had hand, wrist, & elbow prob's for 12 years now. Had them operated on 7 times to date & now Arthritis has set in unfortunately. I have limited feeling, movement & very little actual grip strength so it makes walking my dogs, well, very interesting at times. Sorry OT for a second -

I have been using bungee type leads for a while now HD. They are a god send for me with hand issues especially. They take out all that hand & wrist jarring when your dog lungs or reacts to something. I haven't had any experience with hands free leashes yet but I must say the quick release button does worry me a bit. As you say we can't afford failure can we? The risks of malfunction are scary. I can't believe they gave that dog back to the owners either with NO penilty. The dog killed. -

I really like the iron doggy & the cardiocanine one. They both look really good. Have to have a rethink now. I want to get the right on for us as you do. Thanks for sharing you links :) -
SC, Snooza's are really lovely :p

Yes I saw those & was wondering what they'd be like. I was thinking f using them when e are camping as can't keep watch on them all the time like I usually do as I just can't see them after dark.

Thanks Raineth, I nearly had a heart attack. Very close call. In hind sight I'm thrilled that she recalled back to my feet as fast as she took off. I've worked very hard with her on recall as she has always been so reactive my thinking was as least a very efficient recall will 'hopefully' get her out of trouble. This time it did I could do without the near disasters though Black Dog have just brought out a Hands free leash system which looks great & I really like their gear, so it's on the shopping list. -
Oh yes I have spent big $$$ on beds. My guys aren't destructive but I couldn't find a bed my girl would actually sleep in. I went through 4 different types which are all in the ward robe No.5 Snooza Cuddler She loves it. I have to wake her up sometimes to get her out

No luffy. No flattening of bedding here. If that were to occur in years to come I'd just be able to buy some new filler or a new bottom cushion if need be :)

Geez, hope you are OK Hankdog. Go Jakey That's a great response from him. He could of gone right off in a situation like that HD. Terrific improvement there -
Exactly... Well said HazyWal. The only thing about the muzzle is the fact that a muzzled dog/Grey CAN NOT defend themself if set upon by a roaming, aggressive dog. Sure Greys are extremely fast but if walking in suburbia, & they are set upon you can't just let them off & run away from the predator. Just like lambs to the slaughter Bottom line. I don't care either what breed the roaming dog is either. Obey the damn law !! Councils need to step up ASAP to fine these careless owners. They make walking your dog at times & doing all the rights things by law a bloody nightmare.

You bought a Jeep????????? Sorry could not help myself. I was going to do that too. LOL

Hi, I highly recommend the Snooza brand. Excellent quality. Will last many years if your dogs aren't destructive. You'll pay around the $60 to $ 80 mark for a smallish bed. I brought my 2 the Snooza Cuddler variety & they love them. They also are fully washable & you can buy replaceement / exchangable inserts & covers. Great Aussie product :)

Same here :) I wouldn't of felt comfortable doing that either at 17.

That's a very nice coat fr your Aussie kdf It's just like a jump suit. Terrific !!
