  1. Oh she's adorable ♡ so pleased she is settling in really well & totally loving her wonderful new life :)
  2. Just wondering how much Slippery Elm is recommended for an 18 kilo BC. Stella tummy is alittle upset. Very slight soft stools. A bit gassy. I brought some Slippery Elm caps. But didn't realise they are double strength 800mg & I just hid it in a very small amount of food & she has eaten it. Worried now. Hope I haven't ODed her. Stupid me. Should have doubled checked the mg's. Errrr.
  3. Hi & welcome Ren, Totally agree with Hankdog's advice here. I'm looking at finding a new Vet atm as my Vet of some 20 years refuses to write scripts for us. His mark up on the meds both my dogs are on are 4 to 5 times the price I can buy them for eg. Stellas Kalma Tabs I can buy them for $11.69, he charges me $47. Sonny's Tramadol $ 11.50, he charges me $57.60. They are life long meds so I just have to find a more economical option sadly.
  4. Some Vets just go above & beyond.... they are a god send. All paws crossed here
  5. Thoughts are you & Myrtie at this very difficult time
  6. Oh I'm lovin Digby's meat pie treasure hunt. What a wonderful idea raineth. He certainly is thorough gentlemen. I really enjoyed video. Beautiful boy :)
  7. Oh thanks so much for your help JulesP. Appreciate it :) Poppy doesn't look out of place at all in Ambers coat. She is very cute by the way. I am going to go with you & size down for Sonny. So both 55cm here.
  8. Quick question folks regarding Hurtta dog rain coats? Not sure what size to get ? Sonny back measures 57cm but his chest & neck measures quite a bit smaller than the size for the 60cm coat on the chart on the Hurtta web site. So being in between sizes should I buy the 55cm one for him because the neck & chest measurements are more suitable for him & it's only 2cm shorter? I think the 60cm might swim on him. Stella measures 55cm exactly but the chest & neck sizing for the 55cm coat are way to big for her. Again should I drop 5cm to the 50cm to get the chest/neck measurement closer to her fit?
  9. I was wondering the same thing Hankdog??? Justice's behavior at last nights class says it all really ...Also Amy's concern or lack there of says it all as well IMHO. What actually happen for him to have suffered such injuries you will probably never know Snook but at least you know where you are at with him now. You weren't to know Snook though so you can't blame yourself. Justice is in the very best hands, yours I believe. So you will raise above this & continue to make progress. May just take a little time now but I'm sure Justice will bounce back again :)
  10. Hazy, thats good you may have found a safe place to go then. We have a nursing home down the road from us & they always all wave & smile at my 2 when we walk by. I always stop & get Sonny to do his wave trick back to them. They all smile & laugh. Sonny loves it too. Dear oldies :) Sorry folks, OT....back to all thw beautiful photo's :)
  11. We have an atuo ball thrower... great fun :) Brought it for Sonny's first birthday.
  12. For the amount of time my guys use ours I couldn't justify spending $$$ on a dog specific milly. I have shaped my 2 to stay exactly in the middle of the belt. They have no issues using it. They have a good variety of other exercise though.
  13. From memory ours milly has a1.6 m long belt. It is a gym quality one.
  14. Oh !!!! on mums bed LOL ;) Coops gorgeous ♡ Great to hear he is doing so well. Very hard to keep a good dog quiet. We are swiming in shedding dog hair here ATM too. So dont worry yourself abour that. You have done a wonderful job taking care of your lovely boy Biannca :)
  15. I have a human treadmill & it works really well for us. Have no issues with either of my guys using it. In fact as soon as I mention, "want to go on Milly" & it's a race to get on there. I have to usually ask Stella to wait her turn cause they are both on there together LOL We use the treadmill in winter if the weather is really bad usually. When I brought it I just made sure the belt was 1300 or more long so they have enough length in the belt for them to get full length of stride . Width wise the belt should be 450 wide. I also got one with incline so you can gradually increase the incline if you want to. Both my guys took to it really easy. I just had some high end treats & took it slowly. We started off with it turned off. Just let them look over it. Then turned it on slowly. Then got them to stand on it while switched off. Then got then to walk on going very slowly. We built the speed & time up gradually I usually just do 5 mins turn about & they get 3 turns each. They are always supervised :)
  16. Oh lovely Hazy Stan & Maddie are looking really well Great pic :)
  17. Oh I love that dog tag LisaCC Might have to get me 2 of those. They are way cool :)
  18. Snook, I think the whole way this situation has been handled by Amy is really poor form & grossly unprofessional IMHO. I was thinking about it last night while trying to get back to sleep after Stella had woken the whole house up for the millionth time ( full moon) she is always at her worst then Anyway, I mean even to the point of deleting your comment off face book & offering you a refund for your last 2 lessons instead of allowing you & Justice the courtesy of finishing them. Pretty petty stuff... Maybe you are best to start a fresh somewhere new when the time is right. Hope you both are doing OK & Justice's wounds are healing well :)
  19. Congrats to you both K9 Angel How exciting!!! Takoda is stunning
  20. How's gorgeous Cooper going bianca ? Hope he is slowly on the mend :)
  21. Geez Snook, I really feel for both you & Justice..... terrible situation. Doesn't sound like it was a " bit of rough play" to me if indeed 2 vets have treated him. I also find it deeply worrying that no one saw this happen. Poor justice. Hope he recovers OK . Mentally as well. May take time. I understand your anguish. I would feel exactly the same way. Especially when a friendship is involved & your precious boy. Thoughts are with you. Give Justice a big healing cuddle from Sonny, Stella & myself.
  22. Oh Ok I dont know never had a Cav sorry. Maybe their coat is alot finer then
  23. Oh what a lovely boy Plonk was. My dad would of named a dog Plonk too. Our first BC when we were kids was called Whiskey LOL. She was a great gal :)
  24. My BC' s are fairly long/ full coated dogs. I don't seem to have any hair tangling issues. I use that little tool they give you to clean the brushes every second day or so but it doesn't seem to impact on it's effectness to clean.
