2 dogs, 3 cats - i work all over the place, min of 20 hour a week, Max of about 60, depending on what is going on!

god, lets see who gets the shits with me :D I am about to walk out the door at 7:30 this morning, and wont be home till 1am tomorrow morning, the joys of working 2 jobs. My work hours have always been all over the place - i spent 3 days home this week, but work 2 shifts today to make up for it. I have no problems leaving them over night - and often have to with work - If i am going away for a few days Mum or Dad pop over to visit them each night and they cope fine As for pups, as long as I need to - I dont take time off and if the pup is left inside, there is someone to come and let them out for a toilet break, but if the pup is outside, I get home when I can. I havent ever been able to afford time off so the dogs work around me. I dont think i would take the time off even if i could. My dogs and cats are very well adjusted, they never whine for food, they will only bark if they have to go out to the toilet, they know that things get messed up around here a lot and all cope well with it.

I have a food aggressive dog and HATE when people feed them without my ok. I had a neighbour who would throw food over when I was not home, an ex flatmate caught her, I went off at her, told her if Atlas attacks Kaos over the food, she would be the one paying the vet bills. She never did it again Dad is a shocker, Atlas isnt allowed any food from people when we are eating, dad always gives him something We get into so many fights ... but he is 'just a dog' so i should get over it

i get what you are saying, but plenty of kennels will take dogs in if they have only had a C3, not all dogs need the canine cough vaccine Also, its a non issue here for me, there is no kennels here I would leave my dogs at, so if something happened, other arrangements would have to be made

I posted a few weeks about this - My dog had has Canine cough every year that she has been vaccinated... She was not vaccinated last year... and didnt get it. I will never again vaccinate for it It is very easy to catch, another dog at the vets may have had it and passed it on

No set age for me, once the first dog is trained to what I want, i would then get a second dog - Kaos came along when Atlas was 18 months old, Had I been happy with Atlas when he was 6 months old, i would have gotten a second dog then

oh, i have to say i do this too, if someone is walking near us i will put them into heel, if there is a dog coming i will pull kaos off the path and make her sit as the dog walks past

IF i am walking the two, they have to both be next to me, one each side - but that is very rare that i walk them both I dont care where if it is one, as long as they are not pulling - Atlas usually walks behind me, and kaos in front of me the dogs I dog walk for have to walk beside me, until i know they wont try to pull me over, once they are trained to walk on a lose lead, they can walk where they like

I havent treated for fleas in years. I have only had one flea problem and that was over 10 years ago at mums house. If i see a flea, I will treat, but until then, i dont worry about it

This is true... I once fed my dog raw meat and now she goes hunting in the shopping bags and fridge. And she can really murder a steak. My dogs get raw meat - ages ago i cut my leg pretty bad, I was trying to mop myself up and kaos came over, she licked my leg where it was bleeding, she backed away, shuddered and walked off - she hates the taste of blood! I cracked up laughing, big tough man eater she is!! yes but it is a totally different type of 'wag', a mad dog will have a higher and more tense wag, whereas a scared dog will often hold its tail loose and wag it slowly or have its tail between its legs. Not in my experience - Atlas hates the vets, he has to be muzzled and goes crazy when he has to have his nails cut, the whole entire time, his tail wags - exactly as it does when he is happy at home. When Kaos and At got into a fight years ago, Kaos was wagging her tail the whole time as well I dont trust tails!!

We only have obedience, there was Agility in the next town, but not sure if they are still running, i would like flyball and Schutzhund

My retards will eat anything if they have to sit for it. Oh a peice of barkchip or a leaf.. Mum said I have to sit.. Oh it's not edible.. No wait; i sat for this; so i am eating it! Mine wont eat pills out of your hand - but if you go to give it to one, and drop it, the other runs in and grabs it.... i had to sedate Atlas once, and dropped the tablet, kaos got it... was a very boring night with two dogs knocked out oh? should I go and wake up Atlas and tell him to get to work? :D

I had to hold a 6 month old Bull Terrier Spinner when he was PTS, he was not my dog, but I did a lot of work with me, i still think a lot about him and cry from time to time

nope, no way either of them would go out in it, and Kaos gets cold very fast and Atlas takes forever to dry, so we stay home, they dont get walked everyday anyways

I have had no contact with the breeders in years, I sent Kaos's a breeder a few chrissy cards, and have only seen her once since i got kaos Wont even bother talking about Ats breeders. I do email and talk to the cats breeder a lot tho

My guys love the buddy bones and tug a jugs, also found the orbie (sp?) ball that K9 Force sells to last a long time!
