  1. What do you get when you cross, a tiger a kangaroo and a greyhound? > > > > > > > > > > >> > > > >> > > a Tigger  Sometimes we just need to have a giggle and enjoy our lovely canine friends :)
  2. Thanks Malakita, they are just very naughty teenage hooligans
  3. Thanks HW, Good girl Maddie, keep up the good work on your side of the country  Sounds like they could organise a meet up underground somewhere along the Nullarbor. :D
  4. Yea its great to watch and brilliant exercise too. Mind you, husky paws are massive and spread out so Ronin can move a tonne of dirt quickly so anyone standing behind needs to run for cover
  5. a fair bit of excavation work was undertaken by the loonies this morning :D
  6. She didn't have an issue with that. In fact I told her that if she was uncomfortable with the idea of homing her pup due to that reason, I'd understand her concerns as it's her pup and therefore her right to decide where her pup ends up. Have you missed the post in which I said the breeder rang me the following day to let me know I could have the pup if I wanted to? Well, I am confused You can have the pup if you want but something has changed?
  7. Why not just send them the photos and info they want if you really want the puppy? It really is not that big of a deal in my opinion. If you want the puppy then you need to abide by their rules. Somewhere along the line you are going to have to either make compromises in what you are after or be prepared to develop a relationship and wait a long time.
  8. Prescript Assist looks to have the same 29 micro flora. You would just need to break open a capsule and adjust volume based on your dogs weight compared to an average adult human. I use Protexin but don't believe it contains soil based micro flora but it is a very good one for dogs. http://www.healthscene.com.au/prescript-assist-probiotic/
  9. Fantastic an empty plate that is really great and he looks so sweet, I hope his appetite continues
  10. Aww thanks so much Ha ha - I'll bet. I should say, they only play like this with each other. They are both fine with little dogs, but I think some people would be alarmed by these two powerful breeds. However, we do our best to try and be good ambassadors for their breeds. :)
  11. My wife's friend got back to us on the questions. Apparently the dog in question is half Northern Wolf and half Alaskan Husky! Regarding the feeding it is as I said a porridge with raw fish added. When racing they are on all raw fish apparently.
  12. More from today. Unfortunately we had to cut the session short as for some reason the water mains were switched off and we couldn't fill the water bowl. We are more and more convinced that Tigger is becoming a Husky. Today he was nibbling on Ronins neck making a high pitched vocalisation that I was positive was Ronin. When I investigated it was Tigger
  13. It looks just wonderful doesn't it, particularly as Ronin and Tigger seem to have it to themselves Thanks guys, it is a great park, of course there are times when it gets a bit out of control but we pick our times to go. Tiggers owner and I both work from home so we most often go when there is no one else there. Having said that we have experienced quite a few people that take one look at a husky and greyhound going for it and decide against coming in  Am off to meet them shortly :D
  14. I does look quite fierce but there has been no bruises, cuts or scrapes thus far. It is actually very gentle when the mouth each other :) Even when Ronin paws him, he seems to just use the pads and from what I understand Ronin is the only dog that Tigger allows to play like this with.
  15. Yes tigger is a GAP greyhound he is green collared and allowed off lead in this park. He is a lovely looney and we are so lucky to have him and his owner :)
  16. Foster Failures are the best. :) Foster Failures are the best. :)Oh yeah I've got two!I had quite a few in between though :) Moi? never ;) you missed the magic word......"foster" :)No, I didn't LOL.  You guys are not helping me
  17. This is true as feeding oils increases their vitamin E needs. I give a vit. E supplement. Excellent I had a feeling that you were savvy to this.
  18. Oh, coconut oil is very yummy to dogs as is turmeric, my boy licks it up before going for the steak or other goodies. Coconut oil can even help fussy dogs eat their kibble Try coconut oil first and if all good think about adding the turmeric.
  19. Oh I would be a shocking foster carer, after one day I would never be able to part with a dog :D
  20. Please be careful with high levels of fish oil without adding vitamin E. This can be catastrophic to a dogs health. Having said that I do think fish oil with vitamin E is great, I also am also a fan of coconut oil and there are increasingly positive reports on supplementing with turmeric for arthritic dogs. Alternating daily between fish oil and coconut oil is probably a good balance :)
  21. 44kg pup :D Probably one dessert spoon per day would be ideal. If the stools get too soft reduce for a while, but I don't think there should be any issue. Mixing 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric into it for feeding will offer additional benefits. You may already do this, but cutting back shampooing and using calendula tea instead of shampoo will be great for the skin. Shampooing will strip the dog of its natural protective oils so this is just something else to consider. The coconut oil rinse you did is great in my opinion
  22. Agree with above with one caveat - naughty kids sometimes have dodgy parents so exercise caution if the parents seem troublesome.
