  1. Welcome IvoryCoat :) Great to see an Australian company keeping it Australian
  2. Great idea! Sorry can't give feedback :)
  3. Happy Birthday Ronin! He is beeootiful!
  4. [quote name='Stressmagnet' Take my Lab pup. He fits your criteria nicely. He got a pot plant container stuck on his head and isn't even fussed. He's just stumbling around happily, blind as a bat, smashing into things. I think I'll take it off now. Love it!
  5. I have never taken much notice of the postage costs as I get a few boxes of stuff at a time (wholesale) & have an account with Fastway. If you lived closer to Coffs Harbour, I could get you some next time I order stuff. Just out of interest what was the postage rate ?? For a one kilo parcel, over $17 Edited to add, just checked again (same items) $15.29
  6. Their postage rates seem to be very high? I was going to order some treats and the postage was far more than other sites I've purchased from, so I decided against it.
  7. Those horse grooming blocks bought from saddlery stores are really cheap and good for removing fluff as well
  8. I love Labs but wouldn't want to own a golden Retriever :)
  9. Well then, I may forget the rocks and just water the patches more often :) Apple cider vinegar in the water sounds interesting - maybe it's worth a try ...
  10. I have a standard schnauzer which I adopted several months ago. He's fourteen months old now and is a fabulous dog! I wish I'd known more about the breed years ago. He is low shedding (I strip him not clip) and a great family dog. Our two and a half year old grandson was visiting with us recently for a week and it's the first time the dog and he have met. The dog followed the toddler everywhere and was very gentle. He even tried to herd him back whe he got too far ahead  I'm very impressed with this breed of dog, however, they do need a confident handler so that they don't rule the house!
  11. So, breaking them allows you to get longer out of them?
  12. Has anyone used these and do they work? Also, do they cause any side effects in dogs? TIA :)
  13. Couldn't you saturate the coat with plain water first, then apply the tea rinse? :)
  14. I agree about the tick collar. Preventic collar doesn't smell much ( maybe it is the same as Scalibor). If the dog is going to be in a tick area I'd still reccomend daily checking as well :)
  15. My dogs used to know whether I was going horse riding as opposed to jogging by checking out my shoes as I walked out the door :) My dogs now, know if I'm going out and just go into their respective beds, despite the fact that I sometimes just wear paddock clothes when I go into town :)
  16. This is an interesting site ... http://www.cavalierhealth.org And this discusses strokes in Cavs ... http://www.cavalierhealth.org/cerebellar_infarcts.htm Hope your little dog recovers well :)
  17. I don't have cats, so it isn't a problem :) We are inland from Coffs Coast. And yes, BC crazy, ticks are awful. It means we can't take the dogs on cross country walks because of the little blighters
  18. Thanks for the replies :) I have only used Advantix once on one of my dogs and she had a bad reaction, so I won't use it again I even had a couple of ticks on myself yesterday after doing some weeding in the garden They are far worse this year than we have ever had them before.
  19. Just wondered whether there are any experts or vets who could tell me whether it is safe to use Permoxin spray whilst a dog is wearing a preventic collar. The ticks are really bad this year and I am currently using Frontline plus every two weeks on all dogs. My standard schnauzer also wears a preventic collar, however, if we go walking through the bush he still gets ticks I know that Permoxin does kill the ticks as I use it on my horse.
  20. I'm glad I'm not alone with this. What concerns me is that I may use these excellent cleaning devices without thinking when visitors are here!
  21. That and the nutrients he gathers from the BBQ
  22. They'll be at the farm with Mr R. I'm staying in town during the week. Ah, in that case I agree with Starkerhe, the most independant one :)
  23. What happens to the dogs you can't take?
