  1. That is wonderful news Toohey, will wait patiently for when Jed is able to pop in herself.
  2. Joins Noisy and Persephone in a game of cribbage while waiting for news of Jed. Thanks for dusting off the board.
  3. Sneaks quietly into the waiting room and takes a seat nearest the exit (claustrophobia). Glad to hear Jed is holding her own, even better there is a small improvement. :p I made some freshly baked cheese scones, and they are delish with butter. I did have some chocolate to share but it seems to have disappeared. *looks down at belly accusingly* Anyone know how to play Cribbage? I just learned but don't have a board.
  4. Ive got the easy bit - Im down south and co ordinating it all but Lesley and Marg had a hard day yesterday picking up the bodies and the survivors. Both will have their hands full ensuring the ones they have taken home will be comfortable and looked after as Jed would want them to be. 2 more bodies were found later in the day after Marg and Lesley had left and removed the bodies they found out - The two adult boxers who were found under Jed's bed so their bodies have been recovered and will be buried as well. So sad. That is so sad, poor dogs.
  5. How tragic, I hope her injuries aren't too serious. I can't imagine losing everything in a fire, as well as your beloved animals.
  6. Oh no, I'm so sad for you Horus. Run free beautiful Ellie.
  7. I'm so sorry to hear about Gherkin. Hugs to you Dotty. Run free precious pug.
  8. What area are you in? Do you mean you need your dog boarded for a week?
  9. What a beautiful tribute to the big guy. Rocco certainly entertained us Doler's (with the help of Ralph). I loved hearing (and seeing the photographic evidence) of their latest adventures. He sure was one of a kind, and obviously well loved. Run free Rocco. Hugs to you Serena.
  10. I'm selling my Nikon D70, thought I would put it here as well, in case any photographers don'tcan't get into the Marketplace. Have just copied and pasted the same post I put in Market Place. Sadly, I have to part with my Nikon D70. (moving unexpectedly, need the cash) I bought this in April 2009, it had under 7000 shots taken, and was, and still is in excellent condition. I've probably taken 400 shots with it. It has 2 lenses (28-80 plus a 70-300), camera bag, memory card and Hoya filters, charger, battery etc, all the usual manuals, leads etc. Its currently packed, so I will take some pics later and come back and relist everything included. Im asking $490, will be listing on Ebay Wednesday if no one is interested Included: Nikon D70 Body Nikon 28-80 Lens Tamron AF 70-300 1:4 -5.6 MacroLens (Used twice) Nikon Quick Charge Charger & Battery Nikon shoulder strap for camera Hoya UV Filter (never used) Hoya Cir-Polarizing Filter (never used) 512 MB Memory Card Lowepro Padded Camera Bag Lowepro Padded Lens Case Blower Brush Installation CD User Manual USB cord (to connect to puter) Pics to come tomorrow (have to get my friends camera)
  11. I would say definitely ring the council, its not up to you to keep returning it. Silly owners. LMBC, your council sounds lazy, but maybe that is the bylaws where you are?

  13. How long have you left it on him for? If he is still there an hour later, there might be a problem. A cat collar would probably be all he needs at this stage, even maybe try putting a piece of ribbon around his neck (under supervision of course) and see how he goes. He is such a tiny little thing.
  14. I would make sure its only a lightweight collar and harness as well. Put it on him and just leave him be, he will eventually get up and move. Actually I would just try the collar first. Do it just before dinner time, or when you know he will be active. Then I would get up and just walk over the other side of the room or wherever and make like you are doing something interesting, and just ignore him. They get used to it.
  15. I would either wash him in the bath, or go to a DIY dog wash and use their hydrobath. Can't say Ive seen any laundry buckets with a tap, could use maybe make one yourself?
  16. Put the dogs outside, thats the easiest way. Not everyone wants dogs jumping all over the place when they visit, or invest in some crates, and put them in there (after crate training). With young kids though, make sure the crates are in another room away from little hands.
  17. Oh, I'm so sorry to hear about your beautiful girl. Run free Flash.
  18. To be honest, with 3 rescue failures already, I would be going with a reputable breeder and getting a pug. If you spent thousands on your last 'failure', then $1500 is not unreasonable. Or you could look at getting an older pug through rescue perhaps? If you get a pup from any rescue, you cannot be guaranteed what the father was like, he may have diseases, aggression issues, any number of things. While it is commendable that you want a rescue dog, in this case I would be strongly advocating a good breeder who can pick out the right pup for you.
  19. Oh, what a gorgeous boy Max was. Beautiful face. Hugs to you Zali. Run free Max.
  20. I'm so sorry to hear about your boy. What a terrible loss, never makes any sense when they are so young. Hugs to you. Run free Cruise.
