It was simply an observation Sas, nothing more. Most people I know do prefer to just buy at their own leisure, rather than an automatic reorder. There are other sites which have started doing this and I don't know anyone who uses the reorder system. Although I am sure they are out there - personally, it puts me off.
-
Why dont you foster first for another group? You've said before that you haven't fostered before so it would probably best to try it out rather than jump in feet first. Attach yourself to a reputable group and learn the ins and outs on how to run a rescue properly.

It is only that price if you commit to an automatic reorder. To buy at your own leisure it is $137, for only 15kg that is expensive.

Both my Stafford and the Pug had localised demodex around their eye(s). When nursing I have also seen the same thing, I don't know what planet they are on to discount it so quickly. I hope you let them know!

Jack Russell Boy Needs A New Home...
Clyde replied to iggy mum's topic in Dog Rescue (General Rescue Discussion)
won't be against their rules - shelter, food and water. Can be as crappy as anything but if those elements are in place, nothing will be done. Yep, there is a Jack down the road who lives in a dog run, permanently. She never, ever, ever gets out (even by their own admission), the run is only about 2.5 msq. Very depressing. The RSPCA have been notified and went out there only to say that the dog has food, water and shelter and nothing they can do. What about enrichment? -
I am the same. Traditionally, Bullies are bull terriers. She is very cute. Nothing like a sleeping pup

An elderly greyhound outside in winter? Thankfully the Op is not considering that.

Just go a black, they don't shed nearly as much :D Yep, Alvin is a single coat too - barely sheds at all.

I've only had one, from memory I fed her the fish Holistic Select kibble with add ons, such as chook necks, yoghurt, egg, sardines etc etc.

I love my collar and lead from Ruthless. They make to order http://ruthlessleather.com/

He is beautifully marked and looks very sweet, congratulations.

I have to vacuum every day because of the house Maremmas. It is a pita. My Pug barely sheds. He just had a big coat drop but its stopped now. I don't think I've ever seen a loose Stafford hair although the Pug and SBT are groomed weekly which helps.

My Pug is all that. Generally good with other animals, great with kids and a tough little dog.
-
The use of the word holistic in commercial kibble is really just a marketing gimmick. I'm not knocking the food, I feed HS to two of my dogs, but I'm under no illusions that the food is truly holistic. It sounds good though and makes me feel as though I'm feeding them one of the best

So do you think a size 6 would be big enough for a little girl size 9? Not sure whether to go for the 6 or 8. My daughter will pop her eyeballs when she sees this jumper.

Your Preferred Flea/tick Treatment

If you think she is reacting to as advantix then I would not ever touch it agin, nor use permoxin. Allergic reactions often get worse each time.Frontline spray. Top spot is useless, spray much better but not cost effective. -
Cocker Spaniel Needs Help
Clyde replied to keetamouse's topic in Dog Rescue (General Rescue Discussion)
Where does it say he bites? In the initial post about him which was quickly deleted. Keetamouse copied and pasted the owners email to her - which clearly stated if you grab him by the collar he will turn and bite you. I have a dog which will do the same so I am not saying the dog should be written off but I do think full disclosure should have been given both here and at the pound. -

I hope the owners advised the pound that he bites. -
15yr Old Cattle Dog In Hawkesbury
Clyde replied to HazyWal's topic in Dog Rescue (General Rescue Discussion)
I've been following this girls plight very closely. I'm so sorry it came to this but it certainly sounds like the right decision was made for May. Sometimes we just have to accept that it is their time. So bless you Nic (and the pound) for allowing May to peacefully rest. -
Is it a Maremma though? It seems odd that it's described as 'a big wooly guardian dog' when they've named the breed for the other dog. I mean, obviously it sounds as though it is a Maremma - it just seems odd that they havent stated the breed when they are trying to locate the owner
