I am prone to skin things too but have thankfully had no problems with the Champion Tails. Some other products really set me off which is why I am not very adventurous and just stick to about 3 different types of shampoo. When I first started groooming the salon used mainly Fidos which made my hands fall apart, I didnt think I'd be able to continue grooming but then worked elsewhere with a different product with no problems. It's just been trial and error. I've just stuck with what I know for about 10 yrs now. A shame, as I love trying new things, smells etc but not worth the risk.

I don't think that foolish is at all relevant. If a dog attacked mine so ferociously I would fight back with all my might.. I would too, which is why I tried to say I get what she did (but reading what I posted above it wasn't that clear, sorry). I wouldn't bite a dogs ear personally as I think there are other ways to break a fight. Ive had to do it myself numerous times. Different people react differently though and that was just her reaction. She's a brave woman!

My fave whitening is Champion Tails (horse). It highlights other colours too so is fab for Cav's, Saints etc as it really makes the red pop.

She did a really foolish thing putting her face so close to the dogs head. NOt saying I blame her, we do crazy things in frightening situations. Just relieved her face didnt get torn off. Poor woman and her sweet little dog.

I didnt realise this had already been posted and doubled up in Lost and Found, sorry. Hoping they are both found safe and well.

Same! When I moved out of area and had a dog speyed I thought it was odd that they sent her home that night!

Yeh, maybe one month but 3 months is a stretch and probably not true.
-
Really? Three months isolated?

Hard question to answer, but I'll try. I like a (dare I say it) "masculine' type dog, I like the appearance of a muscular dog and I like a dog that is willing to defend it's owner and property. In terms of temperament, I would say I prefer a dog that is CAPABLE of holding it's own in a fight, but takes a lot of pushing to do so. I'd like to think a stranger could approach me and my dog and be able to pat it. i hope that helps ! Cheers Sorry, but after reading this post, I don't think any Bull Breed or large breed is for you. Why not? I also have the same preference in dogs. I like big, boofy and protective. There is nothing wrong with that provided you research well.

Okay, now we need a photo! I love looking at Pavlovas Staffords for ripped dogs *hint hint*

Are you sure? That sounds enormous. I think my girl is around the 14-16 kgs mark Im sure they vary between sexes but 25 kgs sounds way over. I could be wrong,

Oh it does help, thank you!! They are listed as a stockist so I just assumed they would have stock. Thanks so much for saving me some angst. Will be sure to call first now

JRT. And please get a rough coat so I can fall in love I am sure there are social, non excessive barking JRT's in rescue.

Not necessarily. I use the shortest combs for a short length. I stopped using regular blades years ago preferring the finish with the combs. It also means I dont use/need (although still have them all) nearly as many blades. The only time I use a 7 is if the coat is badly matted. NM If you want to have more control over the length, then I would just get yourself some Wahl stainless steel combs.

I have heard of them before and saw their site but I didn't realise they were in Sydney. I don't know if they are but they have stockists around. I am getting mine from bargo. Hopefully they'll have some closer to you.

http://www.sydneydogwalk.com/index.htm is his website. Ive been following this story for a while on a FB page for Kids in Danger. Anyway, this bloke has been on the run here in Oz (from Canada) for allegedly molesting primary aged boys and girls between '60 & '90. He was also a dog show judge in Canada. Thankfully he was recognised in Sydney's Hyde Park walking dogs, has been arrested and being shipped back to Canada to face charges.

Scenes like this were happening long before breed banning.

Maremmas And Varying Degrees Of Protective Behaviour?
Clyde replied to mixeduppup's topic in General Dog Discussion
All of mine wag their tails but they 'aint doing it to be friendly. It confuses a lot of visitors. I would also say per your title, that they have varying degrees of protective behaviour. What's happened to your boy the last month of so? You used to post that he was very social and allowed people on your property plus other dogs which he'd play with. -
I've not ever heard of the peanut butter trick. Good to know though!
