Kenz is being a little to well behaved with her lack of exercise - other than trying to do zoomies first thing in the morning. Worried she won't switch back up a gear when she is fine to train again :(.

OK RV what was your excuse this week????

Scrubbing the bathroom tile grout?

Weeding between the slabs

or

sorting the pegs into colours on the line

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

My excuse for this week (and next week, but not the week after, but then the two weeks after that  ) is Uni. They have to keep giving us tests and the little part insane bit of me stresses and studies too much. I got 90% in my Mol Gen test today and all I could be was annoyed I didn't get the other 10% :o . Anyway as you can see what strange one I am and I have a huge Chem test next Tuesday and practical exams Weds, Thurs and then a week off, then exams :o . Plus in between that I have to fit in all the other crap. Next semester should be better as I am not doing as many units at uni.

I am still training Toby (I will make you a front video on Thursday!) and I had the behaviourist out today and go to remedial socialization classes too every second week. :) Don't you hate it when life gets in the way of the fun stuff?

CC - Eurovision wasn't as fun this year :( The Fri and Sat I had to dash off to work during/just after the show and Sunday a bad country won :mad:laugh: Plus I felt guilty the whole time that I wasn't studying.

ETA - If anyone needs to contact me for the next few weeks I won't be on DOL too much but just email or PM me and I will see it because my phone gets emails. :)

ST your babies are beautiful - I gather they survived their visit to Deb on Saturday - and yes we would like weekly photo updates - even if you do have to do it from work.

Emery - have you recovered??

Rubystar - hows Ruby now?

Thanks ptolomy just eaten my first meal for two days, still not 100% on my feet but thankfully over the illness toilet part

Wow!!!!! Hope everyone is feeling lots better real soon  Specially you Emery - food poisoning is yucky!!!

Ditto for all ill/injured dogsters! Wandy is lots better.....Had a vet visit on Friday, her toe isnt broken thank goodness! But she is on light duties for another two weeks :grimace: Poor kid has been penned (with Zola) for the past two days, so is jumping out of her skin!!!! She was sooooooooo excited when Mum got home tonight! She is NOT supposed to be doing any running, jumping etc., try telling that to a Kelpie  Mind you its easier to keep Zola on lead and let Wandy mosey around and do her thing.....All Zola wants to do is zoomie with Wandy and tries to body slam her!!!!!

Oh, and well done RV - sounds like youre doing really well with you studies :happydance:

Sorry you lost a little one ST, the babies are looking very velvety!!

I wish. Scietists don't earn too much... even mad ones ;) (Unless you invent something really evil and hold the world ransom for a trillion dollars or something  - or patent something that turns out to be really important)

Thanks for the well wishes lab rat... Hoping everyones sore dogs are well soon! :)

All the best for when you pick up Kenz later ness, hope things are ok :)

RV - wow 90% sounds pretty good to me in an exam  Good luck for the rest of them :crossfingers:

Mas - What time will you be there on sat?

After cooking Louis a lambs liver the other day for treats, he didn't seem overly enthusiastic about them at training on monday  so I've just chopped the rest up and grated some edam cheese over it and microwaved it till the cheese has gone stringy - NOW he likes it  My kitchen however has a delightful smell to it

Just had a phone call and now I've got a job interview tomorrow afternoon

I need some Perthies help, please. Has anyone had their dogs x-rayed and how much did your vet charge? Is it likely to vary in price and therefore I should be shopping around?

The next step for Ruby is for her elbow to be x-rayed. As she hasn't responded to acupuncture, Rimadyl and over a week's rest, there is a suspected possible fracture of the elbow so we need to x-ray to confirm or rule that out

Edit: will this kind of x-ray require her to go under?

Thanks.

RS, it's likely ruby will have to go under, but it depends how calm she'd be i guess...

it shouldn't be so much about the cost and more about making sure the xray is done correctly to ensure a correct diagnosis...

Applecross Veterinary clinic do a lot of hip and elbow xrays. I can't remember how much it cost though. it's more about the cost of the sedation/anaesthetic than anything else. If you know her weight, call around and ask how much an xray would cost for a dog and tell them her weight. You would also be able to ask if they sedate or definitely put them right under.

I'm not really sure on any others except Baldivis Vet rings a bell as a good one.

Given your vet knows of her issues, why not have them do the xray?

hope all goes ok for Kenz Ness. :(

Good luck for your interview CC!!
