I took a vote, Knuckles likes Skipper (because that is cute and 60s) and Dutch likes Bandit (because it's cool and a neat boys name)

I like them both

I am glad your brood is getting on well, I bet the puppy with settle down after a few days. He probably hasn't seen another dog since he left his mum!

He's so gorgeous! And it's great he is happy to sleep in the laundry - phew! That's one less thing you have to worry about when you need a break :)

I like Bandit as well, good job I am sure he will soon be really good

Just a note about the collar, if it is the one I am thinking from Red Dot. My blue heeler snapped it clean, not the D ring or anything the actual leather. She is only 20kg!

He is stunning. So well done Spottychick

Not sure about Bandit.

Scenario:

You go outside and call Baaandit, Baandit "come" in soft/friendly voice.

He doesn't. So you call BANDIT! COME!

Mmmm... could be fun if you are game

I would not call him anything starting with P or T.

Dogs seem to get a bit confused when they have similar names.

Eg:

HonBun knows she is Honey, HonBun, SweetBun, Bun or Oi.

KI's original name was Humbug.

I looooove the name and would've kept it if I could.

The guys just got a bit confused with H.... names.

If you are keeping him, then Boof or Doofus would fit just fine... but if you are rehoming him after all his work is done, then I think he needs a somewhat more attractive name, yes?

Bandit definitely suits his eye markings... but something traditional and human sounding may appeal to prospective new owners... like William or Harold (Will/Bill or Harry for short) - then there are nice names like Tyler, Caleb, Joshua, Caden, Connor, Taj, Ethan...

Hi Rach

Yeah thanks for that - it doesnt look very strong. That collar came over with Tango and I quickly swapped it later for a better one. It's an emergency collar only and not for walking etc, but it's all I had on hand for the pup. This guy arrived here with nothing! I kinda didnt think he wouldn't have a collar!! The pup has also already chewed off half the end of it (while wearing it) so you'll note it's been trimmed. I'm using it more as handle to grab him by when he's around the house than anything

So when I took him for a walk just then I used a sturdy check chain - just coz it's stronger and more secure. Surprisingly he was pretty good on the lead! Didnt pull at all but wandered around my legs a lot

I like the name Bandit too, cos my very favourite dog novel is about an Australian Shepherd named Bandit, who is the same colour and has exactly the same markings as Benson, so I've come to really love the name Bandit.

So that would be my first choice for him. He's lovely and I'm sure he'll settle into your household soon.

oh spotty  he's absolutely gorgeous!!!

and to think that tango is acting like a dog should, is props to you for all your hard work! pup i'm sure will settle; over-excited, under-exercised, perhaps even a lack of socialisation --- and what a champ he is for bedding down in the laundry without a whimper and for the whole night :)

i reckon you've done good ;)

good luck too on naming him!
