ooooh... your not being nice folks. It's not there fault...

ha ha ha - the your/you're and their/there/they're thing... high on my pedant list. I have also been known to change signs that incorrectly use an appostrophe. Embarrases my OH no end

(Hi, my name is KumaAkita, and I have an addiction to fixing grammatical errors...)

I always thought it was hear here?

It is 'hear hear'. This phrase originated in the British parliament in the 18th century as a contraction of 'hear him, hear him'.

Thanks.

I've actually made a few spelling mistakes myself lately in my posts but I think people can still get the gist of what I'm trying to say.

I think I'm just getting a bit rusty in my old age

Well Chewy needs a lesson herself. Subtitle should be "It's ADVICE" not "Its ADVICE" ... assuming of course that an It can't give advice.

My other favourite, which appears to now be added to some dictionaries sadly, is agreeance. The word is AGREEMENT. I am in agreement, not I am in agreeance.

Which dictionary's?

Bahahaha.

That reminds me of another pet hate... the over use, misuse and abuse of the apostrophe.
