Rip My Darling Billy

Overnight Billy had a massive stroke and died very quickly.

He woke us at about 1 and we found him near the back porch. I think he had gone out to the toilet and just did not make it back inside.

I am glad he did not suffer but it hurts so much

I miss him already his Chowish ways, his crazy zoomies around the house, demanding his walks, my confidente, his magnificent cuddles. He was so tolerant over the years of the Rescues that came and went. I love his Chow expressions when he did not agree with what I was saying and his ability to read my moods. He was my sanity.

I am glad we are selling as this place hurts too much now.

My words can never do him justice.

The luckiest day was when we got the phone call that his owners needed him out. Brett and I drove to Picton and picked him up, it was like he had been here all his life. Nothing phased him, kids, dogs, cats or strangers. His favourite activity was swimming, he stank so badly when we got him as he had been creek crawling.

He was not old only approx 7 and we had been lucky enough to have him as part of our family for 4 years.

Thank you for you Billy

I love you so much and I hope you retain the happiness you deserve.

Our Love Always

Karen

I forgot to Thank the people at Vet Specialists at North Ryde.

They were wonderful but it was too late when we got there. I knew that in my heart but hoped for a miracle.

Thanks to the beautiful BC there Jayden who allowed me to cry all over him. He saw me after Billy was taken and came to demand a pat - exactly what I needed.

Thanks Jayden

Oh my God Karen, I am SO sorry :) Billy was the most delightful Chow in the world, you couldn't fault him. So ready to accept strangers in to your home, regular foster dogs, kittens and children. Billy was my first introduction to Chows for this reason, I have always had a soft spot for them. Such a special boy and so affectionate. Words cannot convey how truly sorry I am for you and your boys. To be taken from you so suddenly....

Thinking of you all Karen, run free at the bridge Billy

Karen, I am so incredibly sorry.

If there is anything at all that you need, I am only a phone call away.

I know that there are no words that can take all that pain away... remember that he'll always be with you in your heart and try to take some comfort in the fact that he was so happy with you.

Again I'm so sorry.

RIP Billy. I have several rats up there that will be happy to groom your fur for you, so keep an eye out for them, particularly a very special little boy called Bryce who would very much have enjoyed playing with your neck fur.
