L/D is pretty much vego. It has a tiny bit of fat in it. It does contain soy though which some dogs may be allergic to.

omg so cute! Good puppy!

The biscuits aren't for nutrients. They are so the sick doggy gets to have a bed time biscuit. As Megan said processed food is heaps easier on the gut. You just don't want to feed processed foods that the patient is allergic to.

So hard to suggest things because she had such a violent reaction. I wouldn't want to be responsible for causing a relapse. Are you feeding the Hills kibble? If you are then you can make 'biscuits'. Crush the kibble and then add some liquid (eggs if they are ok). Make into biscuit shapes and then cook in a fry pan. I buy 'homemade' vego type biscuits from various markets and haven't had a problem with them, that is assuming flour isn't a problem.

Just curious.

Sometimes you can't vaccinate, worm, flea etc if the dog has a medical condition.

Augustine The Boxer do you hold any formal qualifications in nutrition or animal science?

A quick google shows that it is not a rare allergy.

Think it depends on what the breeder is doing with the pups. If they are doing lots of enrichment stuff then a bit later is fine.

What Is Wrong With Getting Another Dog For Your Existing Dog?
JulesP replied to aussielover's topic in General Dog Discussion
I didn't get my second border collie to keep the first one company but she did stop all his destructive behavior. He was very destructive in the garden, I'm talking huge bushes and even a apple tree ripped to pieces. He was trained and walked everyday. I got Fern and no more destroyed plants. So a second dog can work to solve problems. I got a second Birman cat to keep the first one company. It worked in that they were friends but they weren't super friendly with me anymore! I got a border collie puppy after my first dog died probably quicker than I would have liked but my remaining dog was really fretting. So puppy was for me but also for my dog. It would be silly to get a second dog if you really don't want one but I imagine most people here do want the second pet. -
If you google flaxseed allergy you will see that bloody diarrhea is listed as a symptom. It also goes off quite easily. Have had a nasty personal experience with that!!! What is the vet saying about diet?

Which Food For Border Collie Pup?
JulesP replied to Horsegal98's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Congrats on your new puppy. Feed the Hills for a while and slowly change over or puppy may get an upset tummy. None of my border collies have done well on Black Hawk, it made them itchy and I had some vomiting issues last time I tried it. Like Holistic Select (Eagle Hawk). Haven't had any issues with any animal on this. Used to use ProPlan a fair bit but stopped when it started to be made here as I wasn't as happy with the formula. There are other grain free feeds around too, a couple of the top of my head are - Artemis, Earthborn, Wellness, Evo, Canidae The best food for your puppy is the one that he/she does well on :) Border collies are pretty good doers btw so watch quantity. -

Hair spray is supposed to be nasty for humans but not super harmful so I assume the same for dogs. -
That is assuming she gets any sleep in the first place I haven't received papers at the time of pick up either. If you have no knowledge of the breeder/breed you might want to check with DogsVic today that the breeder is actually registered.

Where Can I Buy Agility Equipment
JulesP replied to Airedaler's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
I don't think that 'fun' agility equipment would stand up to lots of dogs using it. Just thinking about the tunnels I have. -
I never know if we are supposed to talk people out or in!

You are just being really rude now. Not really sure why. You took the topic into the current direction btw when you spoke about going to see the puppies and how they acted.
-
Do you think you could cope with a baby and a puppy? And moving.
-
So get the girl then.

If you give your dog a command and it cowers what do you then do? Do you let the dog not do the thing you have asked it to do?

I've been using the Paws chews. They seem to have had a positive effect. I like that they are a chew too as I can just check them in with the chicken necks etc and not have to worry about mixing powders or tablets.

Don't send emails at all would be my advice unless you are actually going to give the pet a home. Email senders just come across as crazy dog/cat people. They may also make people take their adverts down, which isn't good as at least the people are trying to find the pet a home. If someone is doing something against the rules of the site - contact the site.

Two now. I've had 4 at one time.
