Exclusion diets etc are best done off meds so effects can be noticed.AFAIK

What colour are their eyes ?if they have pale blue eyes they may have sight problems in bright light...but if their eyes are darkish, or green and they are navigating ok, I would guess at no problems .we have had working sheepdogs with similar pigment and no problems...thats my experience

Oh.Originally you just mentioned her back...but with these other areas , ie: pretty much everywhere- that does sound more like an allergy. Perhaps you would be better served by finding a vet who can help you with testing for allergies? Dogs can be allergic to almost anything- from food colourings to certain animal proteins, and a carefully planned and carried out approach will be needed....good communication with someone knowledgeable is essential There are folks on here who have done the elimination diet to test for food allergy...

At least with yeast, dietary changes, cutting out carbs can help. The old malaseb used to work a treat when done thoroughly and regularly..and using canex rinse in bedding final rinse also helps.

Indeed. And if crossed with a bulldog ..what skeletal /skin problems might the poor little mites have ? Sadly the course you've taken is not the most responsible , despite much sound advice from caring and experienced members of D O L . Selling these pups which have not been desexed almost guarantees that some of them will be bred & onsold They will be bred with NO background on parentage/health/temperament information . They will be bred , with all their inherited breathing and body deformities/problems passed on .... any unkown genetic problems impacting upon the lives of innocent babies. This saddens me like you wouldn't believe .

Itchys don't usually just 'go'...best to find a reason for them, although it takes a lot of detective work!

Not really ..just a tendency to put on weight . He lived into his teens , was always very active ...

I hope the vet found nothing serious, and that they are on suitable treatment

Itchy dogs ............ sent to try us , as Mum would say . LOL . Obviously a worry , and a constant irritation for both of you . Have you considered taking her to a Bowen person or Dog Chiro ? Reason being , mild pain radiating out from those muscles along her spine..or from a disk may irritate her ...like the sensation from a TENS machine ( or ecollar) and cause her to try & relieve it . MAYBE ? Other than that - just go thru absolutely everything which may contact that part of her back - a particular shrub- a towel - a piece of furniture, dog clothing , harness, any spray in the house which may drift down .... the list is awfully long Been there done that , had a dog on Prednil for life (well, 10 yrs) he was allergic to grasses..several sorts ..and had some anxiety . Chiro helped with the latter to a degree , prednil helped with the former . He got fat as he became a geriatric ...and that was about all ...

Bodies are not meant to have green discharges. It is a sign that all is not well inside the body. A personal vet visit is needed, as infections inside bodies can often kill dogs with not a lot of warning

She will come in season in 4 months time . (and if you bred labs you should know/remember this point) You have her now with pups for another 5 weeks until they are weaned ...then book her in to be speyed .

I do, in our case as it is absolutely instant ..and no one around them usually notices. As an aside , because there is zero stress the meat is of better quality .

When we kill our own meat , the particular animal is dispatched with a firearm as it is still grazing, or whatever .It is in its familiar surroundings, where it was born . For those interested ....there is an excellent book .

The pups can not be advertised as pure bred xxxxx as you have no PROOF of what the father is/was. They are also not pedigree anything . They are cute , lovable puppies needing good homes , and you & your friend can start searching for such homes now ... remember to ask all sorts of good questions about health/training/desexing . As said, puppies need to be vaccinated and microchipped before going to their new homes

OH How disappointing and frightening . My advice would be to contact the rescue ..be HONEST ..and return the dog . Put your emotions to one side ... at this age , to be so strong in her possesiveness is a worry - and with a lack of good professional support around you , returning her seems the wisest decision ..not the easiest , and certainly not the happiest , sorry You and your original dog deserve to enjoy life, and the presence of a new dog - not be fearful and stressed.
