apologies- that doesn't look right To me it is just normal life that stuff like that happens .... we humans are capable of all sorts of behaviour which upsets others .We can do our bit to try & correct /avoid at the time , but then the moment passes ... so what? There will be more sh*it tomorrow again... yes, people 'should' be responsible ... but it's not unusual to be in close contact with those who aren't.

..which is why I am not in favour of 'good' pain relief . If it hurts- the dog will rest. From memory my dog was not allowed to walk at all for weeks ... mind you he was so bandaged he couldn't move his leg anyway ..it was like a splint! We carried him in & out ...and he weighed around 2o kg ! Hope your girl slowly and surely improves now ...it is a worry.

Certainly doesn't appear normal poor old girl ...perhaps that is why she is homeless?

She spunds like a bitch we had a few years ago.. we got her as she was due to be shot.. her owner could not control her ... she wouldn't listen, chased roos, and was tough and strong.... he had paid a small fortune for her from a breeder well known for providing good dogs. She took a lot of work.. and not all of it gentle , either ... and lived happily with us for the next 11 years. Bo ended up being a very useful and tireless worker in certain jobs.. she was too forceful to use in a lot of situations, but perfect for others. She would fight, she was often bowled over by sheep , she had many days when she 'went on strike' ...but she certainly gave her all when she had a job she liked

May I suggest he has NOT purchased a pup suitable for his (lack of) knowledge/ability. I fear this will end in tears . poor little pup. Silly, impulsive man.

Not if they are meant to do a particular job in life ,and are unsuited to that job! Working dogs are often moved around until a place is found which suits ..we have 2 here who we were given because they didn't fit in their original places ..and have been happily with us for some years now . I like Vickie's comment

He is such a gorgeous boy -
It's not his choice- BUT you have to educate him /train him to it...not just pick him up, put him in and shut the door It is HIS space- where he gets his treats/food/toys....where his bed is..where he can see you ,but not run around crazy...
-
looks a bit of a mess....
-
He's got a big job ahead of him
-
His bed may be too hot for him with teh warmer weather - he may be getting into his teenage phase, there may be exciting things happening outside .... AND..he knows if he DOES carry on , his servant will pay him attention
-
It could be many things, including a form of obsessive-complusive disorder.... so hopefully, after you do consult with the vet.behaviourist, you will have more idea what to do to help your dog

Our dogs yelp a lot when they are chasing things in their dreams- excitement, I guess
