  1. A pointer that I bred is in a home with a person who runs a team of Pointers. Apparently they are quite good at it.
  2. Loving those last few shots Helen
  3. Yep, the man is a freak - his work is great.
  4. Just thought I'd point out, he was runner up to Rocco/Serena for Qld Emerging photographer of the year  (and he will definitely be tracking the link back to this thread and will see your comments, so that will be a nice surprise for him while he recovers from an episode of Bali Belly .) and on that note, Hi Jonas.
  5. Ahhh... you all rock!! Thank you so much These are perfect.
  6. Yep More if you have them would be great!
  7. I'm trying to find some well known quotes about dogs. Does anyone have any at their fingertips?
  8. No I don't cull. My litter sizes have been 8 9 (2 pts due to cleft palate) 9 12 (1 passed at day 5) 11 8 8 Others in my breed have had up to 16 (from a frozen semen litter!) I have only known of one person in the breed who has culled once. I don't know the reasons behind it so it wouldn't be fair of me to comment on their situation.
  9. that one linked above DOES ask about allergies.
  10. I have a suit that I bought from Ginger Tree when I was in Melbourne last year. I haven't even taken it out of the bag yet. I might wear that. It's a nice blue suit - a colour I don't usually wear.
  11. I love that you've been stalking the blog and know which pup I'd love to find a show home for. I'd love to have you for puppy cuddles, unfortunately I have a puppy being picked up tomorrow then I have to see clients. Maybe another day.
  12. My pointers rip up bedding unless I'm watching them... actually, they will rip it while I'm watching them, I just have the ability to tell them to stop. I gave them an old mattress last week - it lasted two days. At night, they sleep on blankets but during the day, they sleep on a big carpet square.
  13. Even better... http://www.gizmodo.com.au/2010/07/a-profes...-an-iphone-3gs/
  14. It really depends on the breed. I bred a pointer bitch for her maiden litter at 6 years old and that was borderline for me. The only reason I went down that road is because she was superfit and healthy and had my old bloodlines that I wanted to get back. Youngest dog I used was 13 months... and he made the choice, not me. Breed and health of individuals really needs to be known before decisions can be made.
  15. I want to lose enough weight to fit into that suit again. I love it but I'm about 7kg too heavy for it at the moment... and my hot pink suit too.
  16. but I went through my files and I seem to team bright tops with dark pants...
  17. I've been known to wear jeans to shows... I don't wear them often - usually only if it's a fat day or it's raining. The rain thing, I'm not wearing something that's dry clean only out in the mud, my jeans can be thrown into the wash when I get home and it's fine. Skirts or pants - again, it depends on the day and the dogs I'm handling and also the judge. I prefer the look of skirts but find it easier to handle when wearing pants. Men in bright suits - My brother wears a suit that makes him look like hotel concierge. I don't like that particular suit but there are some colourful ones out there that are fine.
  18. wow... great photos in here from everyone. Seriously, if you're game head back to some of the early challenges and see how far a lot of you have come. It's brilliant.
  19. Ashanali, I can't believe you're married to a man who would wear a snuggie!!! Red is just gorgeous! I would love to meet him one day - and Ralph too! I married a man who will wear a snuggie for a photo. Serena is related to someone who wears it because she chooses to. Serena - Red's gorgeous, but you already know I think that.
  20. Of course you're going to get that from animal rights people, the RSPCA aren't an animal rights group so what animal rights people have to say isn't really relevant in this instance. (unless of course you find something in the campaign which aligns with that view) Except for the fact that she touts herself as a very proud RSPCA volunteer and supporter to push her agenda.
