  1. There are a number of Guiremere dogs in this state competing at top level but there owner /handlers are people that OsoSwift is talking about . Good handlers who match the dogs well. There are also many show breed dogs competing in this state at the same top level .

  3. The live stream wasnt great last night either I watched Terrier judging
  4. Does she lick often before fits if not leash grabbing. For me the leash grabbing & licking could be ways for her to alert to a fit or she trying to soothe the panic of what is about to happen
  5. I have big & small but you need to teach the little dog just as much as the big . Big dogs play like big dogs some little dogs are stirrers & can be the trouble maker . My big dogs are taught to lay down to play BUT they are also allowed to have big dog play because i won't take away what is natural to them especially when there pups. I guess the biggest concern witha Frenchie & chosing the right playmate is the summer months & it not going over the top in the heat . It can be done but matching the personalities is a must ,Frenchies can be full on so its depends whether you want something that matches well or in the Goldies case will require more exercise as a pup & want to walk longer distances than say the Frenchie will. It depends i guess on work whether you want big & small, keep in the mind the Goldie will shed alot more coat than the Frenchie .
  6. So does the dog fit more on walks & often before fitting grabs the lead ?? or does the dog fit at home or any other scenario as well??
  7. Its from a Perth breeder & they are all sold with main papers
  8. The mars coat kings we rarely use on the Minis & it would have to have an amazing coat to start with for the coat king to be any good.Very few show people use them The coat kings are fine for the Stds & giants as there coat texture naturally are way harsher but Minis not so much but this is for pets only again If you wish to maintain the harsh coat you really need to hand strip it correctly the first time & then try & roll the coat . The coat King will not keep the coat harsh & do all the work you will still need to use other tools especially for the head . Once you have a good coat you can use a slick n Easy to pluck the dead coat out & other tools plus the obvious part of clipping throat ,bum, belly & ears unless you plan to strip the ears as well (not many do The sizes you have listed wouldn't be suitable ,you would need the higher numbers i think its 24 (without looking at ours)
  9. Do you have a preference to which group your prefer showing in or hanging with .
  10. Here you apply yearly & the permit can be refused because it requires neighbours approving unless in an area with different rules again. Note sure of the fees
  11. Depends how cold some bitches hate being over heated so its gauging what makes them a happy mum too.
  12. Weekly irrespective of how much they wear them down we ensure we either nail file the ends or basic tip trim . The more you maintain the esier it is & the the blood vessel doesn't growm longer & longer. As a groomer i can safely say most people have no idea what long nails are ,many think there great when there to long, the dew claws are the worst having to find a starting point . You can tell so much about a dogs soundness & any issues by the way they wear there nails done & when to long it alters there foot shape
  13. Is it showing ear issues ?? We have a breed where taping/gluing ears happens occasionally but certainly don't do it from a young pup & not with every pup either . Teething can make the ears do funny things . If the ears aren.t correct to start with no amount of taping/gluing will work . So you need to decide what issues the ears are, whether the fold is there or not
  14. A very expensive exercise . They can't fly excess they go as freight ,you then have the vet testing prior ,permits ,crate etc . For exact cost call some comapnies but i would say $2500 plus
  15. The above dog doesn't look over weight but is U necked & has an over loaded front from this picture
  16. When we showed our Greys they where covered like shown now. They weren't fat ,they where fit animals I do believe there are many Sighthounds shown under weight especially in Salukis . I think the problem is people interpret visible hip bones differently & some dogs are very hippy due to straight rears . Visible for me shouldn't equate to starving underweight ,if the dog is constructed correctly you will see it without having to keep lean
  17. some are also easier to install a false floor in the back so you can pack things underneath & then sit things on top making packing easier because you aren't reliant on it being done in an order to fit . Often with some cars you think "i could start packing now" but reality is you can't because it must be done in order to fit correctly so always consider if options are there to make life easier . Ie wagons can be great for the false floor unless the spare wheel is in the back & then that takes out space
  18. What form of independence have you taught him. IE when home do you shut him outside so he goes & plays or his he with you 24/7 ^ reliant on you to be his fun?? What has changed over the last 2 months ??Have you been less active with him ,spending more time away or any other change? Have you considered doing a puppy sandpit for him burying his toys there & encouraging him o play there . I would also consider it is time to get up early & go walkies . The biggest thing you need to think of is the backyard is there domain for many hours a day often by themselves . Have you considered a doggy door allowing access to a set part of the house laundry do he has a more homely day time especially when it gets colder & they often sit in a nice snug house until everyone leaves then outside to the cold
  19. A tad scary that someone wants to set a club up but doesn't have a no clue .
