Silly People Doing Stupid Things? Vent!
tlc replied to Keira&Phoenix's topic in General Dog Discussion
I agree some people are just stupid with no common sense. My oldest is protective of the car if he and the other 3 are in it, and none of mine are HA at all, but if someone stuck thier hand in the window Im sure they would have a go. Mostly when mine are in the car they are in the rear (wagon) and all my windows are left down if I get out for any amount of time. Thankfully I have never been in that situation where someone has tried to do it. I would tell them not to immediatley. However I think with mine they would bark before the hand got near the window. -

I don't think anyone wants to argue with you, I certainly don't. I am all for people doing what they think is the right thing for themselves and thier family and it sounds like your puppy is a very much loved member of the family. -

I am sure there are lots of people with the same views as you. My view is dogs are pack animals and do best in pack situatons. They thrive on company and being in social settings with other dogs and humans alike. I guess for me I get so much joy out of being so close to my lot, not saying you won't with having an outside dog but when they are inside you do interact with them more. -

You might be suprised, mine all bounced back really quickly from desexing, and all were done between 5 - 6 months. By the way meant to say in my first post, your puppy is adorable! -
Getting Puppy To Sleep Not On The Bed Help Please :)

Hi there, I ve just read the three pages here and one thing I am curious on is why does your pup eventaully need to be an outside dog? Do you have a specific reason for wanting him to be an outside dog? I don't think there is anything wrong with dogs being outside, mine are inside outside but do sleep inside and would prefer to be inside. I think as long as you have good training in place dogs can live inside quite harmoniously with humans without a problem. In regards to the crate, I was anti crate till I got my youngest dog. With my first 3 I never needed or had to use a crate for any of them, it was all smooth sailing till the youngest came along, he benifited and needed a crate and still now at nearly 3 sleeps in his crate. I lasted 2 days without a crate with him and at my wits end went and got one and never looked back. Mine also all sleep in my room and we wouldn't have it any other way. -
Awesome photos!!

I really struggle with what to say with this kind of thing, I usually just say similar to what PF said. It is much harder to face in real life. I can't even imagine how I am going to feel when mine go to god, too hard to even bare thinking about! A guy at work the other day well meaning (I think) told he he was very worried that I am too attached to my dogs and Iwhat will I be like if something happens to them. I wasnt sure how to take his comments.

so sorry to hear about your mums little dog, it is so hard when they go even though when they are old you expect it but it still is so hard to deal with!! Re: the Kennel cough, I agree about Jj being here, hope he will come back one day, I miss him in here not the same without him. Two of mine had a coughing thing ages ago but it wasnt severe, I rang the vet and he thought it was Kennel cough but only two of them had it and the other two escaped it. I think mine got it from being around a dog we see often at the dog park, he had a cough and when I asked the owner about the dogs cough he said oh yea he has been coughin for a couple of days. Anywa by the next day mine were coughing I just kept them quiet for a couple of days and they came good, the coughin got worse if they run around so no walks and they came good. Maybe what your lot have got is a very mild case like mine had?? We had out Christmas hospital visit today, it was great dogs dressed up and looked very christmassy, will post photos shortly.

I think she is building up the suspense! Keeping us guessing. We are off to the hospital tomorrow all decked out for Christmas. I'll take the camera and hopefully get some pics.
